The section contains a walkthrough of the main quest Into the Wood... in The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep. This mission is packed with difficult puzzles and riddles. The solution breaks them down and explains all of them.
Traverse the Inshriach Forest
After getting out of Fiona's hideout, you will have to solve another fairy puzzle. This time, don't throw her at the tokens - just stand at an angle and aim at the right stones. Enemies are behind the wall. Remember about healing your characters before the fight.
After defeating them, you will encounter another fairy. You have to push her, standing in front of her like this:
Set the token in front like this:

The door will open, and behind them, there will be the key. The key opens the gate. Turn around. It's below. There's another puzzle with the fairy.
Set the token in front like this in order to open the door.
You will find a steel key, chests and a shrine. The steel key matches the key next to the token of save. Behind, there's another fairy. The solution of the puzzle is shown below:
The fairy will then go towards it and stand next to it. Direct her towards the right stones.
There's another puzzle with the fairy. This time, instead of a token, there will be a magic mushroom. Activate it and push the fairy toward it; the mushroom has a limited time of effect. The door will open, and behind them, there will be the key to the next gate. Behind, there's another totem puzzle. Position the first token like this:

The gate will open. The next puzzle is two fairies, one of them is mobile. The tokens on the left will be positioned like this.
The mobile fairy should fly through the door. They open when the other fairy flies into the right stones.
When the mobile fairy is at the entrance to its hideout, push the static one towards the stones, which will open the door. This requires some timing.
A gate will open, behind which there will be enemies. With five people on the team, the fight won't be a big challenge. Go to the right. There's another puzzle with the fairy.

Remember to activate the mushroom in the right moment.
Push the fairy. Keep going. Another puzzle is opening the rocks. This shouldn't be difficult. There's a lever behind the rocks.
Go back to the room with the fairy, you have to push her till the end of the gate that was opened with the lever. In order to do that, the tokens have to be set like this:
When a fairy goes to the other token, set the first one to look like this:
Another door will open. An enemy will be behind them. Proceed further. You will find chests.
Now go back to this spot.
Some enemies will be there. A save token is on the right. Sneak towards the entrance.
There, you will find the light puzzle. In order to open the door, you have to light up all the lights.
Enemies will suddenly appear.
The mage, when he focuses, gets eight armor level. First, take care of the goblins. They deal the greatest damage in this fight. The mage himself isn't that threatening. The only problem is the armor. Try to nullify the armor with the warrior's skills. A skeleton will appear after you defeat the enemy.
Play the song, that Fiona taught you.
Talk to the Fichti commander
Take stairs up. You will see enemies - one will have 102 HP. He will constantly attack with focused attacks - try to break them. The key to the gate is upstairs.
After going through the gate, keep going. You will see a puzzle. The token has to be set like this:
Behind the door, there's another puzzle. You know it. Position the first token like this:

When the fairy bounces off the first token, set the second like this:
Behind the gate, you will find a chest and a key to the nearby door.
There's another puzzle with the fairy behind the door. Position the tokens like this in order to solve it:
Go through the door, that will be open. Some enemies will be there. Remember, when the enemy focuses - get away from him. After defeating them, proceed towards the marker on the map. You will see the door. Set the token next to them, like this:

Use the token and proceed. Go through the village in front. You will find the commander Fichti. The conversation ends the quest.
