One of the more difficult puzzles in The Bard's Tale IV. You'll encounter them when searching for relics. It's a relatively difficult type of puzzle, compared to the other ones. The following page will contain hints and solutions for those puzzles.

Hints

1. Charn's energy flows through a series of connections from the power source to the activator.
2. Activators open doors or disable magnetic fields.
3. Rotate the intersections to create a path for the energy, so that it flows from the source to the activator.

The following can be the power source:

1. Blood pool;
2. Walled heart (it provides power after being activated with LMB).

There are several types of intersections:

1. Straight;
2. L-shaped arcs;
3. T-shaped;
4. Intersecting straight sections (shaped as X or +);
5. Double-L shaped arcs;
6. "Unifying gate", which requires two power sources;
7. Straight that become blocked, when powered from the side.

Mangar's Bones

It's the first mission featuring such puzzle. Once you reach Iwon Rheg, you will be greeted by a puzzle with the following solution:

After you defeat enemies in the next room, you'll have to solve the following riddle:

In the chamber with mechanisms located on the walls, the solution to the riddle is as follows:

Having set the mechanism, moving across Iwon Rheg may become somewhat difficult, as it activates traps. To be able to get across the location, you'll need to take the stairs to the upper level.

In the chamber upstairs, you will encounter another puzzle:

There is only one connection left downstairs, near the relic:

The Lost Rookery

Once you get across the portal, you'll encounter a few charn vascular puzzles.

The Hungering Blade

This mission features very difficult puzzles. One wrong move, and it's back to step one.

The first puzzle you'll encounter can be solved like this:

The second puzzle is HUGE. It is located to the left. Don't worry though, you don't have to do anything with the mechanisms on the walls.

Solving the riddle will open the main door.
