Items that you can craft are very useful in the game. They can be used to regenerate your team or to support your heroes in battle. Some items can also make it easier for you to explore the map. Below you will find a list of recipes that we find most useful when playing Bard's Tale IV.

Healing Potion

The most basic piece of equipment during the game. It allows you to regenerate 10 health points for a team member of your choice. You can do this during combat as well as during normal exploration. By using it you may often affect the fate of the battle. To create this concoction, such ingredients are required:

1. Water
2. Red Colewort x4

Deployable barricade

This item is useful in combat. It has a certain number of stamina points, which can be absorbed to protect your team. Nearly necessary for more difficult skirmishes. To create this item use the following:

1. Wood x3
2. Metal scraps x3
3. Fibre x2

Caltrops

An extremely useful item for fighting enemies on the front line, especially if it does not hit them directly. Those that won't hit the opponent remain on the battlefield. Entering them, the opponent takes more damage than after a direct blow. Useful in almost every fight. To craft this item followings resources are required:

1. Metal scraps x4

Trow Squeezins

The most basic type of alcohol. Because of this, not much is required for its production. It gives two spell points to the bards who drink it and adds one pile of drunkenness which influences the character's parameters. In order to produce this drink you need:

1. Water
2. Rotten food

Grappling hook

The grappling hook is extremely useful during the exploration of the world. You will find several locations where it is necessary to cast a grappling hook with a rope attached to it. After the fact you won't be able to unhook the grappling hook anymore this item becomes disposable. To create this item following components are required:

1. Fibre
2. Metal scraps

Dragon Breath's Bile Bomb

The bomb works very well in combat conditions as in the case of exploration. It will give you the opportunity to destroy some vines, allowing you to move to other parts of the map. You need the following components to craft it:

1. Malefian extract
2. Yellow Trefoil
3. Fermented Spirit
4. Blazepitch
