On this page of our Minecraft guide you will find information about animals you can tame. These include horses, cats, mules, donkeys, parrots, llamas and wolves.
Horse
Horses can be found on plains or savannas. To win the sympathy of a horse you must give him:
- Sugar;
- Apple;
- Grain;
- Golden carrot (activates love mode);
- Bread;
- Golden Apple (activates love mode)
- Haystack.
You can ride a horse using a saddle. In addition, you can equip it with armor to better endure your adventures.
Cat
To tame a cat, you need raw salmon or raw cod. It behaves similarly to a wolf. It follows the character and attacks enemies.
It likes to sit on crates, beds and stoves. This often prevents the use of these objects.
Mule
He is a hybrid of a horse and a donkey. Mules can only wear saddles andcarry chests. You can't equip them with horse armor.
Mules cannot breed.
Donkey
To tame a donkey you have to try to pet it or feed it wheat. After several attempts, the donkey will give in and allow you to put on a saddle or a crate.
Parrot
You tame the parrot with seeds. If you tame it, it'll sit on your shoulder. You can own two tamed parrots.
Llama
Llamas can be found on Savanna and extreme Hills. You can put a box or carpet on a llama. You can tame them by using wheat.
Wolf
To tame a wolf give it a bone. Wolves are the character's faithful companion, trying to defend him or her from all opponents. The wolf will follow you all the time, no matter the circumstances. If you want it to wait politely in a particular place, give it the command "sit."
