Making a Snow Golem

The recipe for the Snow Golem

Snow Golem cannot be crafted with the Crafting Table. Snow Golem can be created by putting 2 blocks of snow, one atop the other, with a pumpkin or the glowing pumpkin on the top.

They are friendly towards their creator. They move around chaotically and leave behind a trail of snow. They are exceptionally weak and throw snowballs at the enemy. They are exceptionally suicidal in their nature because, apart from the Endermen and Blazes no mobs take damage from snowballs and the Snow Golems are used to attacking anyone within the range of 10 bricks. In the warm biomes, Snow Golems melt. They can also melt if exposed to rain or lava. after they die, they drop 15 snowballs.

You can use them for protection against certain mobs, or lure them into traps. By locking it up in any room, you can line the ground with snow. They can be used to kill Blazes, if they are buffed with an appropriate dose of thrown potions of fire resistance.

Snow farming

There also is an easy way to farm snow available. The only thing you need to do is build a 1x1 room and build a Snow Golem inside. Then, enter the room, aim at the ground and, with the spade in your hand, hold down the attack button. this way, you can quickly harvest a lot of snow in the form of snowballs.
