TNT

TNT is an explosive that is activated with the redstone signal.

Fireball/Fire Charge

Used as a fuse, functions like the flint. It can also be used in the Dispenser, which results in its shooting fireballs.

Blaze Powder

Crafted out of the Blaze Rod, works as a supplementary element for some recipes, like the Fire Charger and also is a component for potions.

Mineral Block

Almost any processed mineral (ingots of gold/iron, gemstones, coal) can be worked into blocks, which you can use as decorative elements, or in a more pragmatic way (e.g. by burning, in the furnace, the entire block of coal), or save up space in the inventory/chest. You can retrieve the minerals by putting the block onto the Crafting Table and reversing the process.

Gold Nugget

Single nuggets can be found e.g. after you kill Zombie Pigman.

Sign

Signs can be attached to walls, or put on the ground in an upright position. You can write anything down on them.

Paper

Paper is used for crafting books.

Glass Bottle

Glass bottles are used for storing potions.

Book

You can use books to craft a bookshelf, enchanted book, or turn it into a book that you can write in (book and quill).

Book and Quill

Book and quill allows you to write down, in the book, anything you want.

Eye of Ender

Eye of Ender allows you to find a stronghold and The End portal.

Fermented Eye of Spider

Used as a component for potions.

Magma Cream

Used to brew potions (immunity to fire).

Firework Star

The Star can be crafted with any dye and an enriching component. It is used to create fireworks.

Fireworks

Fireworks fly up into the sky and explode, in colors depending on the star that you used.
