Ways of enchanting items
Enchanting, of items is used to increase their modifiers (armor is more durable, the sword deals more damage etc.). You can enchant all of the items by using the Enchantment Table, but you can also use some other options. All methods that you can employ to enchant an item are:
- With the Enchantment Table (optionally with bookshelves),
- With the Enchanted book, using the anvil,
- With the anvil, by combining two enchanted items,
- By visiting the village Priest (for emeralds)
How does Enchantment Table work
The most common and the most close to the player is the method employing the Enchantment Table. The maximum level of enchantment is 30. For the Enchantment Table to reach its top effectiveness (i.e. to enchant up to the 30th level, you need to put, at least, 9 bookshelves, not further away, and not higher than 1 block of the table.
After you open the table's interface, you will notice, on the left, a slot for an item to be enchanted. The panels on the right are used for selection of the enchantment level. An important thing is that, to enchant an item to the specified level, you need to have obtained the corresponding experience level.
