Minecraft: Purchasing of a multiplayer server - how to do it? Multiplayer guide Minecraft guide, tips
Last update: 07 July 2020
On the internet, you can find a lot of people who offer to sell servers for multiplayer games. Some of the servers have been especially prepared with Minecraft in mind, and it is better to choose them for the less professional use. Often, they have their own tools and helpful apps (like the function of creating a backup copy of the map). The parameters that you should take into consideration, while selecting the server, are:
- Number of slots offered
- Disk capacity per user
- Amount of RAM
- Management system
- Version of the game
- Option to install mods
- Built-in modifications
Number of slots offered
It determines the number of people who can participate in the game at the same time.
Disk capacity per user
This affects the size of the generated map and determines how many mods can be installed.
Amount of RAM
It is worth choosing a server with plenty of memory if you want to play with multiple users.
Management system
Depending on the server's owner, you may have direct access to files or be limited to accessing server settings (sometimes only some of them), this aspect depends on the user's requirements.
Version of the game
Pay attention to this because updates can affect the game's appearance and its features.
Option to install mods
Some servers do not have the option to install mods, so if you want to play with them, find the right server.
Built-in modifications
Sometimes, servers offer different mods that were already uploaded to the server. In this case, check information about the modification, and see if it requires add-ons for the client. If so, you will need to install them independently for each client.
