Ottegan Assault | Walkthrough LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Guide

"Ottegan Assault" is one of the larger optional missions available in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Similarly as the "Trouble Over Taul" mission, it allows the player to control the forces of the First Order and control, among other characters, Kylo Ren. The objective of the mission is to attack Ottegan enclave in order to capture its leader who has information about the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker. The level is divided into three large parts - first you will participate in space fights, then you will explore the facility on the surface of planet Arthon and finally you will capture the Ottegan leader.

Unlocking the mission

The mission is unlocked after you complete the tenth chapter of the main storyline (The Finale). HOWEVER, in order to start this mission you must accumulate at least 60 golden LEGO bricks. Golden bricks can be obtained by completing main missions and uncovering their secrets. They can be also gathered by looking for them while exploring the open maps in the game.

Once you gather at least 60 bricks, open the map of galaxy and select planet Arthon which is related to the described side mission.

Aerial fights above the Ottegan enclave

Enemy flying machines can be shot down in any order you want

You start the mission behind Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. The route is predetermined, so focus only on eliminating enemy units in your sight.

Once you arrive near the Ottegan enclave, you will gain full control over the ship you control. Start with shooting down a total of fifteen enemy aircrafts.

You can destroy the cannons only by using photon torpedoes and only after they are locked on

The next step is destroying five stationary cannons. You must use the well known modus operandi. First fly near one of the places where you can collect photon torpedoes. Once you have at least one torpedo, start flying towards the any of the cannons. Fire the torpedo once the target is locked on.

The last part of aerial battles forces you to shoot down the enemy transporter. Once you find it, start shooting at it (with regular weapons or with photon torpedoes). Keep attacking until the transporter receives 100% damage and starts emergency landing.

Journey through the Ottegan enclave

Your first task after landing in the enclave is to eliminate 15 enemies that will gradually appear in the area.

Soon after landing an enemy sentinel drone will start flying above the landing zone. Switch to Kylo Ren and wait for the drone to fire one of the rockets. Press and hold the button responsible for using the Force in order to stop the rocket in the air. Then move the crosshair on the drone (as shown on the above picture). After releasing the interaction button the rocket will turn around and hit the drone. This will destroy it.

Using Force will allow you to eliminate the stationary turrets

Use the Dark Side of the Force on the right barricade in order to unlock further passage. Move towards the two stationary turrets. Use the Force on the left turret and then make it turn towards the right turret. This will destroy both turrets and eliminate one more barricade.

Once you reach the new area, first eliminate the regular enemies. There is a new flying drone to destroy here. Similarly as previously, you must use the Force to catch the rocket and point it at the drone. Finally you must take care of the left sniper so that he won't interrupt your characters in further actions.

Put the golden bomb on the barricade and detonate it

Select Captain Phasma and use her heavy blaster to destroy the golden right base. Once the construction bricks appear, use them to build the object on the left side. Switch to Kylo Ren and use the Force to move one of the golden bricks to the nearby barricade (you must have the right directional button pressed or the analog stick moved towards the right side). Once you do it, switch to Captain Phasma (Kylo Ren must be still using the Force to keep the bomb next to the barricade) and shoot the golden bomb with her heave blaster. Now you can move further and reach the area where you must kill some new enemies.

Throw the large charges at the anti-aircraft cannons

Start with selecting Captain Phasma and using her heavy blaster to destroy the golden elements on the left and on the right side. This will drop two heavy objects. Switch to Kylo Ren and use the Force on each object in order to throw it at the upper anti-aircraft cannons.

Once the enemy cannons are neutralized, a transported with three stormtroopers on the deck will appear here. Select Captain Phasma, walk towards the stormtroopers and order them to follow the controlled character. As Captain Phasma, hang on one of the nearby handles, wait for your followers to do the same and together destroy the new barricade. Switch to Kylo Ren, jump into the new area and cut the wall with the lightsaber.

Capturing the Ottegan leader

Start with dealing with regular enemies. Avoid the air attacks of the new flying drone. Once the area is more or less secured, focus on removing the two covers marked on the above picture. Cover 1 from the picture can be destroyed by using the force as Kylo Ren. Cover 2 can be removed by using the heavy blaster while playing as Captain Phasma.

Point the captured rockets at the generators

Switch to Kylo Ren and wait for the sentry drone to shoot one more rocket. Use the Force to catch it in the air and then point it at one of the uncovered generators. Once it is destroyed, repeat all steps with the second generator.

Use the Force on the wreck of the transporter

Destroying both generators will deactivate the force field behind which Ottegan leader was hiding. Eliminate the new regular enemies. Finally, as Kylo Ren, you must use the Force on the damaged transported in which the leader is hiding. This will end the mission.
