Chapter 2 - Escape from the Finalizer | Walkthrough LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Guide
Last update: 05 July 2016
This chapter consists of three main parts. The primary objective of the first one is to get to the location where you will be able to steal a TIE Fighter. The second part of the chapter is an escape from the First Order fleet's destroyer. The final part of the chapter takes place on a ship cemetery located on Jakku, where you will be able to play as Rey for the first time.

Unlocking chapter 2 - The surface of the planet Jakku
The surface of the planet Jakku is another area that you can explore freely in between different missions. There are multiple secrets and additional activities scattered throughout the area - all of them were described in a separate part of the guide.
For the purposes of the main plot you must follow the transparent objects that will lead you to the place where you will be able to start the second chapter. After reaching the interactive terminal, switch to FN-2187 and interact with the device. You must now complete an easy mini-game that requires you to match the appearance of the character shown on the hologram to the appearance of the stormtrooper. Separate buttons are responsible for changing the appearance of head, torso and legs. The solution to this puzzle can be seen on the above screenshot. After you're done with the puzzle, approach the transport ship and confirm that you want to start the next mission.
Stealing the TIE Fighter from the hangar
During the early phase of this chapter you can play as FN-2187 or Poe Dameron. The stormtroopers you encounter won't automatically attack you, unless provoked. Head to the right side of the area and start pushing the first large box blocking the passage. You must first move it to the right side and then up. Afterwards, approach the larger box - pushing it requires cooperation of the two characters.
Go through the bridge that was unlocked after pushing the large box. In the new area destroy all the objects and interact with the bouncing blocks. Construct an elevator with their help and use it to get to the upper ledge. Head to the right, switch to FN-2187 and use the rope that the character has at its disposal to grab onto and pull one of the boxes. Afterwards, push the box to the right.
Head further to the right and jump above the abyss. Destroy the objects on the right side and use them to construct a clock. Thanks to that you will unlock a new playable character - R-3PO.
Switch back to FN-2187. Grab onto the handle and pull the box on the right side. Move the said box to the left, allowing you to create a makeshift bridge. Switch back to R-3PO and go through the previously constructed bridge (the robot can't jump). Approach the terminal you've encountered earlier and interact with it as R-3PO. You must complete an easy mini-game here, requiring you to recreate a series of signs shown on the screen. The correct combination is the upper sign, lower sign and middle sign.
After completing the above described puzzle a new passage to the main part of the hangar will be unlocked. Start by eliminating the new group of stormtroopers. After you've secured the area, start building a generator on the right side of the room. By doing so you will be able to use the elevator located right next to the generator. Use it to get to the upper floor and head towards the wall of the control room. Move along the wall, to the left side. At the end of it grab onto the handle shown on the above screenshot, allowing you to reveal a new interactive element.
Get back to the lower ground, destroy the generator and use the interactive blocks to construct a cannon on the left side. Switch to FN-2187 and interact with the cannon - doing so will cause a large part of the control room's wall to be blown away. Afterwards, construct the generator once again and head back to the upper floor. Head into the control room and eliminate all enemies located inside.
Afterwards, switch back to FN-2187 and interact with the nearby terminal. As you've done before, you must now match the elements of attire of the character on the hologram to the stormtrooper. The next step might be quite problematic - you must destroy the back door of the control room, shown on the above screenshot.
Another encounter will soon begin. Like in previous instances, you must hide behind cover and lean out of it to shoot at the nearby stormtroopers. In the first part of the battle you also have to eliminate a more powerful variant of a stormtrooper, equipped with a heavy blaster. Attack him only when he's facing the other side and switch to the other playable character if you need to. Additionally, remember about increasing the power of your blasters (by pressing the interact button) after the combat bar is filled.
Finally, a single stormtrooper will remain in the area, hidden (most probably) behind the cover on the right side. To get rid of him, go to the right to be able to attack him from a flank.
In the further part of the battle another group of regular stormtroopers will appear in the area. Additionally, there will be an enemy mounting a stationary cannon and hiding behind a force field. Switch to FN-2187 and head behind the cover on the left side. Use the grappling hook shown on the above screenshot on the generator. Now press the interact button until the generator is sabotaged and the stormtrooper behind the cannon loses his protective shield. Now you can look for an opportunity to eliminate the enemy.
In the final part of the battle you must destroy the large cannon and this is the task for Poe Dameron. Switch to the character and head to the blue marks located to the left and to the right of the enemy construction. There you must use the Quadnoculars to locate the weak points of the cannon on the left and right side of it. Afterwards, shoot at and destroy those points while the cannon is facing the other direction. Destroying the cannon will guarantee access to the TIE Fighter. You just have to approach it and press the button shown on the screen.
Escape using the TIE Fighter
Before you can fly out of the destroyer you must shoot at the specific objects in the hangar. Start by destroying the control room you've visited recently. Afterwards, destroy other TIE Fighters located in the hangar. Finally, blow up the two stationary cannons.
From the moment you fly outside of the destroyer, you will be able to move around the area freely. Remember about the ability to turn the ship to the side, or to suddenly turn it around - those tricks might be useful while dodging enemy fire. Your first task is to destroy ten cannons installed on a huge spaceship. Those are marked with red arrows.
After destroying nine smaller cannons you will be forced to get rid of a single, larger one, composed of three elements. In every step you must start by approaching the places where you can acquire photon torpedoes (as shown on the first screenshot above). After you've acquired the torpedoes, head towards the larger cannon and wait for it to be marked by the TIE Fighter - the second screenshot above shows the process.
Perform the activities described above unlit the larger cannon is destroyed. The last phase of the battle is an uncontrollable flight towards the surface of the planet. During it try to attack other flying machines, but you don't have to destroy all of them.
Exploring the ship cemetery on Jakku
After you've advanced to the next part of the chapter you will automatically assume control over Rey. During the slide you can try to acquire more valuable studs, but it's not mandatory.
After reaching the larger area start eliminating the enemies. A new task for Rey is to find a way to distract the mechanical beast, Lugga. This can be done by arranging the nearby blocks. Afterwards, approach the blue markings, equip the Quadnoculars from the inventory and locate the weakened part of the wall (shown on the above screenshot). Mount the Lugga beast and blast through the wall. This will reveal the mechanism. Switch to BB-8, attach the robot to the device and charge it.
Assume control over Rey and use her double jump ability for the first time to reach the passage you've just unlocked. Eliminate the enemies, head to the right and stand on the special yellow platform with arrows on it. This will catapult the character to the right. Ray will now be hanging from a bar. Move to the right side and jump to a nearby bar. Allow it to be lowered, exposing a new interactive point.
Switch back to BB-8, approach the newly exposed contact and attach the robot to it. This will unlock the entrance to the shipwreck.
Switch back to Rey. Head to the right and jump across the small objects extending from the ground. Locate the nearby interactive blocks and use them build a construction right next to the glass wall. Afterwards, approach the place with Rey, aim at the interactive point on the wall and place the bar there. Jump on it, swing to gain momentum and jump to the left side.
Run towards a new yellow platform that will catapult the character. Reaching a new ledge won't be successful, however, and you will be forced to press the button shown on the screen a number of times to prevent Rey from falling into the abyss.
After Rey climbs on the ledge, head a little to the left and start pushing the small box. You must push it down, destroying the box. Afterwards, head to the place the box hit the ground and start constructing a launcher. When it's done, switch back to BB-8 and use the launcher to catapult the robot to the upper, inaccessible for Rey, part of the shipwreck.
Travel with BB-8 to the right, eliminating enemies on your way. Search the area for a small hatch that the robot can drive into. This will allow the robot to reach a place with an interactive terminal. Use it to solve a well-known puzzle.
You can now switch back to Rey. Head to the right and grab onto the small edges that will allow the character to get to the upper floor. Afterwards, head to the left side of the area and note the two vertical walls that you were passing by while playing as BB-8. Ray can bounce off the walls - use this unique ability to get to the upper floor.
Head to the right, sliding under obstacles and using new yellow platforms reserved for Rey. Afterwards, climb on top of a vertical wall.
You must reach the right side of the shipwreck, where a new puzzle can be found. Start by destroying nearby objects, exposing bouncing blocks. First things first, construct a switch shown on the above screenshot. This will allow you to reveal a vehicle, thanks to which BB-8 will be able to rejoin Rey.
Destroy the switch and construct a socket on the right side. Switch back to BB-8, approach the object you've just constructed and press and hold the right directional button (or move the analog stick to the right) to open the large door. Using this door will complete the second chapter.
