Chapter 2 - Escape from the Finalizer | Minikits and red bricks LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Guide

This chapter contains information about the locations and acquisition method of ten minikits and a red LEGO brick in the Escape from the Finalizer mission, the second chapter of the main storyline. You should look for those secrets in the free roam mode of the game. Additionally, you should read the information listed below, containing, for instance, hints about proper preparations for the search.

Important information
You should look for the secrets hidden in this mission while playing in the free roam mode, after unlocking any of the characters with access to the dark side of the force (like Darth Vader or Kylo Ren). Only a few of the following collectibles can be acquired during the completion of the chapter (during the story mode).
A thing worth noting is the fact that you need to destroy four droids in different parts of the Finalizer area to acquire the third minikit. You must remember about it, as you might not be able to get back to the drones you've skipped. Try to complete all of the activities as presented in this guide and you should have no problems acquiring all of the collectibles.
Minikits 4-6 must be acquired BEFORE you destroy the biggest cannon mounted on the Finalizer, otherwise you will advance to the next part of the chapter too quick. You don't have to avoid collecting photon torpedoes, but don't launch them.
Aside from secrets you can also try to acquire the True Jedi title. This title is given to the player for collecting at least 120,000 studs during the Escape from the Finalizer mission.
Minikit 1/10
Special requirements: a character capable of using dark side of the Force (like Darth Vader).
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired soon after the start of the chapter. Focus on the area located to the left of the starting location and use any character capable of using dark side of the Force to get rid of the object shown on the above screenshot.
A passage to completely new and secret part of the Finalizer will be unlocked. Head to the left and use the corridor leading to the upper part of the screen. Interact with the item shown on the above screenshot, located at the end of this corridor.
Minikit 2/10
Special requirements: a character capable of using dark side of the Force (like Darth Vader).
Location and unlocking method: the minikit is located in the same area as the previous one. In this case you will also need a character capable of using dark side of the Force. Remain in the corridor where you've collected the first minikit and start interacting with objects located on the sides of the corridor. Afterwards, construct a new large object in the central part of the corridor.
Minikit 3/10 - droids 1 and 2
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired both in the story mode and in the free roam mode. In order to get it you must destroy 4 small droids located in different parts of the Finalizer. Two of those machines can be found soon after the start of the chapter. The first droid is traveling on the lower level, to the right of the starting location. You can destroy it with melee attacks or with any weapon.
The second droid is travelling in the hangar area, where you reach after pushing the large chests. This is the area with the terminal reserved for C-3PO.
Red LEGO brick
Reward for collecting the brick: Fast Interact
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the red LEGO brick can be acquired either in the story mode, or in free roam. It's located at the place shown on the above screenshot, below the control tower. In order to get there, you must use the nearby multibuild bricks to construct a bridge leading to the item. Do this before you unlock access to the control tower.
Minikit 3/10 - droids 3 and 4
The third droid is located in the control room - it's hard to miss it.
The fourth and the last droid can be destroyed only during the fights in the hangar. Wait until you advance to the second part of the blaster battle - during the first one you will be too far away from the droid. Lean out of cover when the droid appears in the area (the above screenshot) and use a ranged weapon to destroy it. Afterwards, you will automatically acquire the third minikit.
Minikit 4/10
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: Minikit can be acquired in the story mode, as well as in the free roam. After the large battle in the space starts, ignore the main target of the mission and look for small stationary turrets located on the Finalizer. You must destroy 30 of those cannons. Radar will allow you to find them - they will be marked as red stationary dots (dots in motion are enemies). Fly around the enemy destroyer to locate all of the turrets.
Minikit 5/10
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired in the same space battle as the last one. In this case you must first destroy 10 TIE Fighter to advance to the second part of the battle. Ignore the main task associated with destroying the large cannon on the Finalizer. Instead, look for the enemy fighters carrying photon torpedoes. Attack those spaceships. You must destroy 5 of them if you want to get the minikit.
Minikit 6/10
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired in the same space battle as the two last ones. You shouldn't rush with completing the main task of the mission as well. Instead, look for the circle shown on the above screenshot, located inside of one of the large openings of the destroyer.
Fly through the mentioned starting circle to begin the time trial. You must now fly through a number of additional circles before the time runs out. This is an easy task, in which you can help yourself by using the booster to travel faster. Ignore the enemies as you fly and focus solely on reaching all of the circles in time.
Minikit 7/10
Special requirements: a character capable of using dark side of the Force (like Darth Vader).
Location and unlocking method: you can start the acquisition process of this minikit right after you reach the first area after the ship wreckage. Select any character capable of using the dark side of the Force and use it on the barricade shown on the above screenshot. Afterwards, head to the left side to pick up the minikit.
Minikit 8/10
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired in the story mode, as well as in the free roam mode. After you reach the large shipwreck head all the way to the right. You must reach a ledge and jump towards the nearby bars. Move to the right side and you will acquire the treasure shown on the above screenshot.
Minikit 9/10
Special requirements: a character equipped with a lightsaber (like Darth Vader or Finn from the later chapters).
Location and unlocking method: the minikit is located on the upper level of the huge shipwreck. During the exploration you must locate the fragment of the wall shown on the above screenshot, located to the right of the small hatch. You can cut the wall by using a lightsaber and construct the minikit by using the nearby bricks.
Minikit 10/10
Special requirements: none
Location and unlocking method: the minikit can be acquired in the story mode, as well as in the free roam mode. You will be able to collect it during the last part of the huge shipwreck, just before you end the chapter. You must use the multibuild bricks to construct a launcher on the left side - just like on the above screenshot. Place BB-8 there and catapult it. Roll along the pipe to reach the secret.
