How to obtain red and golden bricks in LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens?
Last update: 20 July 2016
In LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens there are 25 red bricks available for unlocking. Seven of them are available to be bought since the beginning of the game. The remaining 18 must be first found during the main story missions and larger side missions. Each level of that type has one brick which you must find. It is done in similar manner as finding minikits. Some bricks are hidden in easily accessible locations. Others are very well hidden and will require you to use character with specific abilities.
Once you obtain a brick, you must also buy it. The least valuable bricks cost a few hundred thousand studs. It means that you should carefully plan each transaction. Most of all, try quickly unlocking the red bricks that allow increasing the stud multiplier - x2, x4, x6, x8 and x10. Only once you obtain and activate them, take interest in the remaining ones. You can, for example, buy the Collectible Detector brick, Stud Magnet and Fast Build. Buying all 25 red bricks is awarded with an achievement.
Important - Using red bricks and the bonuses offered by them doesn't block access to game achievements!
There are 250 golden LEGO bricks to be found in the game. Accumulating those most of all unlocks access to additional missions. The bricks can be obtained in three main ways:
1) Completing large missions - There are three bricks hidden in each larger level - one for completing the mission, one for obtaining the True Jedi title and one for finding all 10 minikits.
2) Completing minor missions - They are awarded with a single brick.
3) Finding the bricks in the game world - On each open map that you can explore there are from a few to more than a dozen of golden bricks. Many of them require you to solve simple riddles or use character with specific skills.
