Chapter 8 - Starkiller Sabotage | Minikits and red bricks LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Guide

This page presents information on where to find and how to obtain ten minikits and a red LEGO brick in mission " Starkiller Sabotage", i.e. the eighth chapter of the main story. Try to find these collectibles in the free game mode. Additionally, read information provided below, where you find information such as how to prepare yourself properly for the hunt.

Important information

It is best to try to find collectibles in this chapter in the free game mode, only after you have unlocked a greater number of playable characters. You can obtain only some of the below collectibles while playing this mission for the first time (in the story mode).

A very important piece of information is that you cannot obtain minikit 6 by using characters obtained in the storyline only. To gain access to that collectible, you will have to use a character equipped with flame thrower, e.g. unique stormtrooper - Flametrooper. You can obtain this character by accessing the characters list and buying them. Apart from that, you are going to need a character that can swim. You can obtain one by completing side mission "Poe to the rescue", where you obtain Admiral Ackbar as a playable character that can swim.

Some of the minikits will require you to perform several actions in various parts of the base (e.g. destroying airborne droids connected with minikit 1). Try to find collectibles in the order presented in this walkthrough, thanks to which you won't miss anything.

Apart from obtaining the collectibles, you can try to obtain the title of the True Jedi (True Jedi). It is awarded in this mission "Starkiller Sabotage" after you collect, at least 50000 studs.

Minikit 1/10 - Droids 1 and 2

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit either in the story mode or in the free game mode. You receive it for destroying five fling drones in various parts of the map and they are difficult to miss, because they will start pounding on you as soon as they spot you. The first two will approach you right after the beginning of the mission.

Minikit 2/10

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit either in the story mode or in the free game mode. Remain in the starting point of this chapter and smash nearby objects to discover interactive bricks. Use them to build a small floating machine. Use it to reach the spot on the right shown in the above screenshot and reveal the minikit.

Minikit 1/10 - Droids 3 and 4

You find the third droid after you pass by a large chasm, thanks to moving over a narrow ledge. It is the ledge under the one with two grappling points.

The fourth droid is flying around in the area with stationary turret that can be destroyed.

Red LEGO brick

Reward for obtaining the brick: stud multiplier x4

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this red LEGO brick after you reach the area with the turret that can be destroyed. After you have eliminated the enemy forces, smash objects in the left part of this area. Thanks to this, you will reveal Multi-build bricks that you have to use to build a snowman shown in the above screenshot, on the left.

Approach the snowman from the left side and press the jump button, after the icon appears, thanks to which you jump onto it. Then, jump towards the bar in the rock above. Shimmy to the right, thanks to which you will reach a seemingly inaccessible ledge. The red LEGO brick jest on the right.

Minikit 3/10

Special requirements: a character that can use small hatches (e.g. BB-8), a character equipped with lightsaber (e.g. Darth Vader or Finn from later stages).

Location and how to unlock: You can try to find this minikit after you zip down the line. After you land in a new location, move slightly to the left (near the large active force field) and after you deal wither the opponents, find the small hatch shown in the above screenshot. Switch to BB-8 or any other short character and take the hatch.

You will get to a new location. Note the creature on the ledge above. Start by using any ranged weapon to "encourage" the beast to come down. Attack in melee then. After you have eliminated the beast, select any character equipped with lightsaber and cut the ice in the spot shown in the above screenshot. Thanks to this, you will get access to another minikit.

Minikit 1/10 - Droid 5

The fifth droid is in the area with the locked door and the silver satellite dish. Destroy it and you will get the minikit.

Minikit 4/10 - Flag 1

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit either in the story mode or in the free game mode. Obtaining it involves the construction of four small flag posts in various areas of the map. You can build the first one right after you reach the second area of the map, i.e. in the area where you start to sneak. Instead of going right, go a little to the left. The spot where you build the flag post has been shown in the above screenshot.

Minikit 5/10

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit either in the story mode or in the free game mode. You get the opportunity to do so right after you reach the second part of the base, i.e. the area where you start to sneak. Go slightly to the right and smash objects in the surrounding to reveal Multi-build bricks. Use them to build a blow drier on the left (the above screenshot). Wait for the gadget to reveal the set and go left to collect it.

Minikit 4/10 - Flags 2 and 3

You can build the second flag posts a bit to the right, i.e. on the lower ledge, where you use the knob to shut down the leakage of poison gas. This has been shown in the above screenshot.

You can build the third post as soon as you manage to distract the large cannon and use grappling hook on the grappling point above, in order to avoid falling into the chasm. The spot has been shown in the above screenshot.

Minikit 6/10

Special requirements: a character equipped with flame thrower (e.g. a Flametrooper), a character that can swim (e.g. Admiral Ackbar)

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this collectible after you reach the force field in the second part of the base (after you distract the cannon and grapple onto the grappling point). Ignore the force field and go right. There is a small iceberg here and to melt it, you have to use a character equipped with flame thrower (e.g. the Flametrooper). Thawing the ice reveals a small water reservoir. Jump into the water as a character that can swim, e.g. Admiral Ackbar. This will take you to the side ledge with the collectible.

Minikit 4/10 - Flag 4

You can build the last mast after you blow up the passage with the force field and after you deal with the troopers that were sitting by the fire. The spot is on the right (the above screenshot).

Minikit 7/10

Special requirements: a character that uses the Force (e.g. Luke or Darth Vader)

Location and how to unlock: You can try to find this minikit soon after you enter the enemy base. Stay in the point that you start exploration and use the light or the dark side of the Force on the curtain shown in the above screenshot (you have to stand in the correct spot for the interaction button to appear). After fragments of the minikit appear, assemble them.

Minikit 8/10

Special requirements: a character that can use sockets (e.g. BB-8)

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit soon after you have started exploration of the enemy base. Reach the spot where you can use Multi-build bricks and build a socket on the left shown in the above screenshot. Use it as BB-8 and catapult the robot to the left ledge with the collectible.

Minikit 9/10

Special requirements: none

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit either in the story mode or in the free game mode. Later into the exploration of the enemy base, you will have to fight a blaster battle. Afterwards, do not hurry into the next location, where Captain Phasma is. Instead, stay here. Occasionally, white vehicles appear here (the above screenshot). Destroy them either with your melee weapons or ranged weapons. After you have destroyed all four of them, you will receive the minikit.

Minikit 10/10

Special requirements: a character that uses the Force (e.g. Luke or Darth Vader)

Location and how to unlock: You can obtain this minikit in the same location as the above one. After you win the blaster battle, do not go into the next reach and explore this one instead. You have to reach the bottom-right corner of the large corridor shown in the above screenshot. Use the bright or the dark side of the Force there, to gain access to the locker with the collectible.
