Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: Stat boosts - how to get them? Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart guide, walkthrough
Last update: 10 June 2021
On this page of the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart game guide, you will find out how to unlock permanent stat boosts for your character. They can make gameplay easier, whether by increasing Ratchet and Rivet's stamina or, for example, by increasing the damage dealt to enemies.
In Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, in addition to upgrading weapons, you can also look for ways to permanently increase the stats of the playable characters. Keep in mind that Ratchet and Rivet develop together. Even if you switch to the other character, you will retain all the previously unlocked skills and stat bonuses.
Gaining stat bonuses is done by finding pieces of armor. Most of these types of objects will be obtained by visiting pocket dimensions, which are small locations from other dimensions that might contain environmental puzzles for you to complete. You may also be rewarded armor parts for completing quests or winning arena battles in the Scarstu Debris Field.
The items you find are always parts of sets. The set always consists of 3 pieces of armor - the helmet, chest and boots.
Each piece of armor found grants a bonus, although the stats bonus increase upon finding more parts from the same set. If you want to receive the maximum bonus of a certain type, you have to complete all 3 pieces of armor that are associated with it.
The current bonuses from the collections you've gathered are displayed in the armor menu. It's important to remember that the stat bonuses are permanent - you don't have to equip the specific armor. You will receive the bonus whenever you find a new piece of armor and it will remain active forever.
You may choose your armor at will based solely on the appearance of these items and it will have no effect on the stats of Ratchet or Rivet.
Here are some examples of the stat bonuses you can unlock:
- Increased damage in melee combat.
- Weakening the attacks of specific enemy types (e.g. Nefarious's minions, monsters or pirates).
- Finding more raritanium and bolts.
- Gaining more XP.
