Collectibles list
There are 8 secrets to find on Sargasso:
- 3 gold bolts
- 1 Spybot
- 4 pieces of armor
Additionally, you can find 1 Craiggerbear.
An important feature of Sargasso is that you can't get 100% of the secrets on your first visit to the planet, as Rivet won't get to all the places and some secrets are rewards for helping the locals.
In the final phase in the Scarstu Debris Field (the one with the arena fights), you will receive an invitation from Morts to return to Sargasso. After landing on the planet, you will learn that you can help Trudi's pet by finding Zurpstones. Dealing with this side quest will unlock the option to fly around Sargasso and will also lead to two unique collectibles from one of the Morts(we've included them in the list below). It's worth noting that you can also return to Sargasso freely via spaceship to find other overlooked secrets, not just those related to Trudi.
Armor piece 1 - Galactic Ranger Helmet
You can get the first piece of armor as you progress through the main storyline. As you go through the wetlands, you will come to a place where the Pocket Dimension opens.
Once you are in the new dimension, you will be able to find a nest of Speetles, and after hitting them, you will be able to hop on one of them and start the ride. Before you leave this place, explore the entire area to find the island with the collectible.
The Galactic Ranger's armor pieces increase the damage dealt in melee combat.
Gold bolt 1
To find the gold bolt, you have to explore the back of the gelatonium factory building in front of which Rivet is supposed to meet Mort as part of the main storyline. Reach the small island shown in the picture - there is a passage to which you can pull yourself.
In the new location, you will find the secret you are looking for.
Gold bolt 2
You can find the bolt at the back of the platform located east of Rivet's hideout. You can get there shortly before visiting the hideout, or you can get to the secret after exploring it and dealing with Seekerpede.
Armour piece 2 - Robot Disguise Boots
The boots are in the Pocket Dimension located right next to the Rivet's hideout - you can find it as you go through the cave on your way to the hideout.
The Pocket Dimension makes you go through the obstacle course. You have to jump on the explosive crates, move on quickly, and avoid destroying them accidentally, as this can prevent you from reaching the end (falling into the abyss can reset the puzzle). Be careful getting rid of the single enemies along the way - use precision weapons to defeat it, so you don't detonate too many crates.
At the end of the obstacle course, you will find the secret you are looking for. The parts of the Robot Disguise set weaken Nefarious' thugs' attacks.
Craiggerbear
The bear is located at the Rivet hideout on Sargasso . You can't collect it on your first visit to the hideout, because then the chase for the local boss - Seekerpede - will automatically begin.
You must once again return to the hideout as part of your free exploration of the planet's surface. You can find the bear on the blue couch.
Armor piece 3 - Robot Disguise Chest
You can only find this secret after you have completed all of the main mission objectives on Sargasso, i.e. when Rivet is ready to leave the planet in the spaceship.
Explore the previously locked southwestern part of the map. You will find a Pocket Dimension at the location shown in the picture.
The Pocket Dimension has a new, rather challenging obstacle course. You have to jump on crates stacked on top of each other. The key to success is to avoid destroying the crates except for the one on the top to be able to jump on the next stack. Avoid destroying too many crates and hitting explosive ones, as this may prevent you from completing the challenge (jump into the abyss to restart the puzzle).
The collectible is on the last shelf behind the tower of crates. Destroy only the crates from the area marked in the picture above, so you can jump to the lower crates and then to the shelf with the secret.
The parts of the Robot Disguise set weaken Nefarious' thugs' attacks.
Gold bolt 3
This is the first of three secrets linked to Trudi, which is Morts' friendly pet. This collectible and the two others described below only become available when you return to Sargasso after unlocking the side quest with Trudi.
You have to find and bring to Trudi a total of 30 Zurpstones ( out of 60 hidden on Sargasso), the purple stones that you can find in different parts of the map. Completing this mission objective will unlock the option to fly around the map on Trudi's back. Explore the central part of the map. The bolt you are looking for is inside the ring, which you have to fly through.
Armour piece 4 - Galactic Ranger Boots
This secret is also linked with Trudi and Zurpstones. To obtain the boots, you have to find 30 Zurpstones from the 60 available.
Galactic Ranger set items increase the melee damage.
Spybot 1
To get the last reward associated with Morts and Trudi, you have to get all 60 Zurpstones on Sargasso. The places where they are found are marked on the map.
Important note - Zurpstones located on roofs, chimneys, high ledges, and other places inaccessible to Rivet can only be obtained after you have collected 45 of the 60 Zurpstones. You will then unlock the option to spit out fireballs when flying on Trudi. This will allow you to obtain Zurpstones "from a distance", without having to reach them as Rivet.
