Advice on fighting Paolumu in Monster Hunter World: the monster's strong and weak sides and its hunting strategy:
General Description
Characteristics: Paolumu eats eggs in the Choral Highlands. It can fly, using its air sack, and attacks with its hard tail.
Habitat: Choral Highlands
In order to stand the best chance against this enemy, consider the following information:
- Paolumu cannot move freely when its sacks are not inflated. Try aiming at the inflated parts of its body or performing longer attacks in order to force the creature to use the accumulated air. The best strategy is to fight the monster on the ground.
- When the monster is flying and its sacks are full, you have to be extremely cautious and avoid its powerful slamming attack. Paolumu can crush you with even one such attack!
- The most effective weapons should deal these effects: stun and explosion.
Resilience and physiology
When it comes to vulnerability, the monster's most susceptible to attacks aimed at:
- The head (can be broken)
- The tail (can be severed)
- Other vulnerable parts of the beast's body are the back and the wings.
