Weapon description

  1. It's time to bring the big guns. Your main concern while using a Heavy Bowgun is your choice of ammunition which can result in different attacks. However, unlike a Light Bowgun, this weapon focuses mainly on destructive force.
  2. Attacks are slow but they are very powerful and they often look spectacular. This is a rather versatile weapon - you can select your ammo accordingly to a monster that you are about to face. However, you must remember to reload your weapon regularly.
  3. Your character moves very slow while using this weapon but, unlike in the previous instalments, you can now move and shoot at the same time. Rolls are also rather easy to perform.
  4. Different Heavy Bowguns use different special ammo. You can activate it during combat and change your shooting mode. Depending on a weapon this can be, e.g. a minigun or a single powerful rocket. Unlike other shots, you don't need to reload special ammo - wait for the bar to regenerate and shoot again.
  5. No combos. This weapon has no combos and is based only on a player's imagination. You have to choose ammo yourself, aim at a monster... and, truth be told, that is really it. It is easy to learn how to fight with this weapon.
  6. Customize it at a blacksmith. You can upgrade this weapon at a blacksmith and attach, e.g. recoil suppressor (reduced recoil), reload assist (faster reload), ranged attack up (stronger ranged attacks) etc. This allows you to adjust a Heavy Bowgun to your playstyle and improve some of its weak points. Weapon's rarity determines number of modifications that can be installed. Also, upgrades can be further improved to strengthen their bonus effect.

For whom is this weapon?

  1. You like heavy weapons and big guns? This weapon is for you. Depending on ammo this weapon can work like a shotgun, a rocket launcher or a minigun.
  2. A good choice if you want to fight mid-range. You don't have to attack your enemy directly and you always keep a relatively safe distance. This is a good option for those who want to, e.g. play with friends and try to create a team that consists of different hunters.
  3. This weapon can deal massive damage but you have to be accurate. If you miss, you lose ammo and can fall behind other players damage-wise.
  4. A Heavy Bowgun has a rather good stun potential. If you shoot at a monster's head a few times in a row then it is highly probable that you will stun that foe.

Conclusion: A weapon for fans of heavy military equipment. No combos and mid-range make this a rather safe and easy-to-use weapon.
