Bow | Weapons in Monster Hunter World Monster Hunter World Guide
Last update: 07 January 2018
Weapon characteristic
- The Bow allows the player to attack the enemy from a distance, with numerous different attacks. In contrast to all of the remaining ranged weapons, the character keeps a great deal of mobility in combat.
- While firing with a bow, you can still move and, for instance, circle around the enemy, allowing you to keep the beast at a safe distance. Keep in mind however, that attacking from a longer distance causes your shots to deal less damage - you need to keep a medium distance to the enemy to remain effective.
- Each bow can use a specific type of Coatings that modify its attacks. It allows the character to fire a sleeping, paralyzing or poisoning arrow. Keep in mind that you need a specific amount of ammo!
- You can hold the string of the bow longer to deal more damage. Keep in mind, however, that this will cause the character to lose stamina faster.
