Weapon description

1. Hunting Horn is a unique weapon that has a few functions. Besides attacking you can also use this weapon to strengthen your character and hunters who accompany you.
2. Regarding buffs: you can play a song by pressing the right buttons to strengthen all nearby characters. You can, e.g. increase attack power of other players, increase their resistance, reduce stamina depletion etc. Each Hunting Horn has a different set of songs.
3. Playing songs is easy: you create a song by using attacks (in the upper right corner you can find tips that can tell you what you can play) which can later be played by you to give yourself and others buffs. You can also use Encore to further strengthen that buff.
4. As for attacks - Hunting Horn is very similar to a Hammer. Attacks aimed at a head count as stun damage which means that you can easily knock down and stun enemies.

For whom is this weapon?

1. Hunting Horn is a big hammer that offers an additional function of using buffs. Unlike in the previous instalments, Monster Hunter World offers tips for melodies that you can play which means that this weapon isn't as problematic to use as it was before.
2. However, this doesn't change the fact that you will have to learn how to use it. Unlike other weapons, Hunting Horn isn't that easy to use, especially for beginners. You have to maintain buffs for your character and other players and fight a gigantic monster all at the same time.
3. Besides a Hammer, Hunting Horn is the second-best weapon for stunning enemies. Add songs and you will get the best support weapon in the game. If you play with a group of friends then someone should really use this weapon.
4. This weapon is great if you want additional challenges while fighting a monster.

Conclusion: a rather difficult weapon to use but it can buff its user and allied hunters. Also, this weapon is great for stunning monsters.

Useful combos

1. A combo that can be used in place. Great for dealing stun damage at an enemy's head.

2. A powerful and slow combo that should be used on a stunned enemy.

3. A combo that deals a little bit of damage and then automatically plays a song that increases character's movement speed.
