This page of the guide to Halo Infinite explains how to access the iconic Warthog combat vehicle in the campaign mode. You will learn about the requirements and the way to summon the vehicle so that it can appear on the battlefield.
Warthog - unlocking the vehicle
For the record Warthog is the name of the famous combat vehicle, which is a staple of the Halo series, and which appeared in its previous installments. In Halo Infinite, it is not available from the very beginning, but you will unlock it pretty quickly.
You must meet two requirements:
- Complete the initial story missions to unlock the world map - i.e. the Zeta Halo ring - after starting the Recovery mission.
- Start earning Valor points - we described it in more detail on a separate page Valor - how to obtain? You can acquire Valor e.g. by completing the main missions or attacking enemy bases.
You need 800 Valor points to unlock Warthog in the Valor menu - the padlock icon will disappear.
Summoning Warthog to the battlefield
Once you've unlocked Warthog, visit any FOB base that's under your control. Find a vehicle summoning terminal in it.
Scroll through the available vehicles until the Warthog hologram appears on screen. You can now summon the vehicle to the battlefield and control it.
Additional notes:
- You can summon Warthog as many times as you like from any FOB database. It is a permanent reward and you do not have to accumulate and spend Valor points again if the machine is destroyed or lost.
- The Warthog can be used by several people, so you don't have to travel alone. If any AI-controlled Marines are nearby, they should automatically enter the machine.
- Gathering more and more Valor points will allow you to unlock even better and more useful vehicles, which may turn out to be better than Warthog.
