Bassus - location of the fight
Bassus will attack Master Chief during the main mission called Excavation Site. The fight with Bassus will occur when you try to disable one of the laser drills in the excavation site.
Description of the boss fight
Bassus fights using a large gravity hammer. This means that you should keep the boss at a distance. Try to run around a lot. You should also use the Grappleshot to move away from Bassus faster.
You can use any weapon you like to attack Bassus. Of course, the best idea is to use one with high damage. You can also try to hit the boss with special types of grenades to stop him from chasing you for a short while.
Unfortunately, Bassus has an extra white shield bar, which you have to deplete first. Only by breaking the white shields bar, the boss can begin to lose HP (represented by the red bar). However, don't take too long breaks between one attack and the next - Bassus' shield can restore
