There are 6 secrets to find in Excavation Site mission.

Spartan Audio Log 1
This collectible is located at a fairly considerable distance north of the excavation site and you can look for it before or after completing the mission at the excavation site. The audio log is next to the wrecked truck - look for it next to one of the roads.
Spartan Core 1
The core is located on a hill southwest of the excavation site. You can obtain it at any time, even before you embark to sabotage the laser drill.
Mjolnir Armory
The Mjolnir Armor Locker is also in the southwest part of the excavation site and you can get it right after you collect the Spartan Core described above. Jump down to the bottom and look in the vicnity of the rocks.
Spartan Core 2
To obtain this core, examine the hangar in south-eastern part of the excavation site and again, you don't have to wait until the mission brings you there. .
After entering the hangar, get to its upper balconies, on which there is a chest with a core.
UNSC Audio Log - She Was Smiling
In the case of this find, you need to advance enough in the mission i.e. activate the large laser drill. You have to use one of the gravity elevators to get to drill interior.
The wanted audio log is at the end of the main corridor inside this large structure.
Banished Audio Log - Demon
This collectible is inside the drill and you can look for it right after you get the previous audio log. In this case, to find the collectible, you need to look near the control console of the laser drill.
