PipBoy is essential in Fallout London for, among other things, opening the inventory, map, character stats or quest log. From this guide page you will learn how to obtain a PipBoy at the beginning of the game - this is part of the Broken Angel quest.

Fallout London mod features the equivalent of the PipBoy. The protagonist's handy gadget has a different look from similar devices from other Bethesda games. On this page of the guide, you will find tips on where to find a working PipBoy as part of the Broken Angel task, as well as what its basic functions are.

Finding the device

After starting the first Broken Angel quest in Fallout London your character won't have a PipBoy yet. This means that you can't initially browse through, for instance, the inventory window to put on clothing items taken from dead scientists.

Start exploring the facility - it's quite linear. You will eventually reach a room where you will receive the mission objective of taking the device - it will be marked on the compass with a white dot.

Using PipBoy

The device found is a variant of the PipBoy - it has a unique shape resembling a tape recorder with a screen, and together with it, you will acquire a strap to attach it. The acquired gadget functions in much the same way as the PipBoy from the other games in the series.

From now on you can bring up the PipBoy screen by pressing TAB in order to:

1. check the protagonist's statistics and active perks;
2. open the inventory - also to equip weapons, put on clothes, and select consumable items (medicines, etc.);
3. view the journal - initially there is only 1 quest in it;
4. look at the map - it shows all of London available in the mod;
5. listen to the radio - several radio stations are available in the mod;
6. view workshops and game statistics.

The newly acquired PipBoy will also be used to open large doors - after interacting with the large console from the picture, the protagonist will temporarily place the PipBoy in it. This will unlock a new pathway in the facility.
