Receiving the quest from Vagabonds to obtain a Lapel Pin
IODS Lapel Pin is a unique loot. You must obtain this item while completing the Vagabonds faction quest thread from the Swan & Miter location.
After completing the initial tasks for Vagabonds, you will unlock the quest from the last trial before joining Vagabonds - this is the Welcome to the Vagabonds quest, which will be given to you by the leader of this group, Sebastian Gaunt.
Gaunt will tell you that as part of the final test, you must defeat one of the captains of the enemy faction Isle of Dogs Syndicate and collect a Lapel Pin as a trophy.
Before heading out on a mission, you can pick up free supplies from Vagabonds lieutenants, such as armor, grenades, stimpaks, drugs, and melee weapons or firearms.
Then, you need to talk to Blind Nelson. You'll learn that the Syndicate calls its captains Sniffers. Nelson will also point out Millwall, Tower Hamlets and the Dome as examples of places where they can be found.
Where to find an IODS Enforcer Captain?
Millwall is the easiest to access because it's a location you've already visited as part of the Vagabonds storyline - traveling to this region is described on the How to get to Millwall? page.
We suggest exploring the area marked in the picture - the western part of Millwall.
Use the VATS system to identify opponents from a distance. You need to find one of the members of the Isle of Dogs Syndicate marked as Isle of Dogs Sniffer - you will recognize them by their hat and black suit.
Be careful when you start fighting, because all the Syndicate enemies stationed in the area may join in. Don't get surrounded by too many enemies.
After killing one of the Sniffers, search their corpse to find an IODS Lapel Pin. You can now return with this item to Gaunt to officially become a member of the Vagabonds.
Each Sniffer has 1 Lapel Pin. You can collect more of them, but the Welcome to the Vagabonds quest requires only 1 pin.
