As gamers, we have seen loads of modifications adding some skins, altering how mechanics work, providing additional quests, and so on, yet those that can act like a whole, full-fledged DLC are still rather rare as they require extensive work. Recently released Fallout London is one of such wonders. On one hand, calling it a mod can be a bit of an understatement, yet on the other it is still a bit rough around the edges, as settings like resolution or FOV are a bit trickier to set. Here you will learn how to adjust those basic options.

Resolution and FOV settings change in Fallout London

Since Fallout London is based on Fallout 4, and there are no explicit settings related to resolution and FOV in the mod itself, the only other option to look at is the original game. If you would like to alter the resolution of FL, you should run Fallout 4 and set all the graphics settings in the launcher. After those are saved, they should carry over to the mod.

However, there is no option to change the Field of View setting even in F4. It doesn’t mean that all is lost, though, especially that the FOV in Fallout London seems to be a bit narrow. To alter this value it is necessary to open in-game console (the key to open the console differs depending on your keyboard’s language) and type:

fov [value] [value]

for example:

fov 100 100

It is important to repeat the value twice, as doing it only once will reset the setting while exiting the console. With the desired FOV typed, simply press enter to confirm the changes.

Be warned though, as sometimes altering the Field of View can make the Pip-Boy appear too far away. To fix it, try readjusting the FOV. If it still does not help, try reloading a previous save and changing it once more.

Alternatively, if you have issues with opening the console or it simply does not work, you can try your luck with Fallout 4’s FOV Slider and Player Height mod. It offers easier access to the desired settings yet be careful as it can be incompatible with Fallout London or result in some unexpected game behavior.

As you can see, it can be a bit more difficult than usual to change the basic settings. However, to defend the mod creators, Bethesda games are not known for their robust, complete designs. However, fans do wonders with them. This tradition continues in Fallout London, too. The redeeming factor, however, is that this modification is completely free to download and enjoy. Due to that, it is easier to forgive some inconveniences that come with it. If you would like to support the developers, you can do so on their official website.

If you have bumped into more issues, for example, crash after train ride or very long loading times, we have some tips that will help you out with those. Additionally, if you have any problems with quests’ completion or other similar matters, we have a great guide prepared, too.
