Unlocking the search for Archie
Lands of the Seraph quest focusing on finding Archie can be started in Thameshaven Market after completing Charybdis. The quest will be unlocked by talking to the Ferryman in the clinic.
On separate pages of the guide you can learn how to save the Ferryman and how to exit Thameshaven Market.
How to get to the crashed plane in Rotherhithe?
Rotherhithe is north-east of Thameshaven, close to the River Thames. Get there from the south/southwest.
This entire area is a wetland and falling into the water is a risk of quick death - you can receive up to 250 rads per second and not be able to heal your character in time. You should save your game often and be careful in places where there is a risk of falling into water, e.g. after a failed jump or falling off a ledge.
Your destination is a crashed plane on the roof of ruined buildings - the picture shows it.
Reaching the wreck is not easy. Look around for a staircase near the wall of one of the buildings (picture above). It will allow you to get to the roofs and upper walkways and avoid reservoirs with highly contaminated water.
A bigger monster, the Softshell Mittenlurk, may stand in your way - attack it with firearms and aim at the exposed parts of the creature's body (e.g. Torso), not at its strong armor.
Interaction with the plane
Finish crossing the footbridges and rooftops to the place where the plane wreck is. The people here have no hostile intentions and will not attack you.
Approach the the plane's bulkhead and interact with it to knock. The mission objective will update and you will receive another quest to destroy monster nests.
Meeting with Archie
You must visit all places on the map (cross the water) - destroy the Mittenlurk Hatchling eggs and kill the monsters that have hatched. You can also pick up eggs.
After destroying all the eggs, return to the plane - you can now enter the wreck of the Mary Ellis. Reach the cockpit door shown in the picture.
Archie is on the left. Talking to the boy will allow you to obtain the Ferryman's Friend pistol and receive the mission objective to return to the Ferryman in Thameshaven Market.
How to open the gate on the river?
Return to the Ferryman. The man will be waiting for you at the dock, near the entrance to Thameshaven. During the conversation, he will allow you to keep the Ferryman's Friend pistol and will also ask you to climb onto the nearby crane and raise the water gate.
The passage to the crane is located west of the Ferryman's dock. Follow the wooden footbridge. You'll encounter some Radroaches along the way, so keep your weapons ready.
After reaching the terminal in a small room, activate it and then select the "Lower Crane" option. The footbridge attached to the crane behind you will begin to lower. Cross it.
On the platform, use the button to open the gate. Then return to the Ferryman's small boat (located below).
How to survive a river crossing?
After a short conversation with the Ferryman, a scripted boat sequence will begin. During it, your task will be to protect the transport and shoot at the bandits attacking from the shores.
Our experience shows that this sequence is susceptible to various glitches and technical problems. While on the boat, try not to move, but only rotate the camera while shooting at the bandits.
You can easily eliminate most of the hostiles by shooting at the red barrels on the shore. They are explosive. Before starting the fight, make sure you have enough ammunition and healing items. The Ferryman will stop if the fire from the shore gets too intense, so you'll have to kill most of the enemies before continuing your journey.
After safely reaching the other side, the Ferryman will tell you to leave the boat. Your new objective is to meet Archie and the Ferryman at the dock on the opposite side of the Thames.
How to get to the other side of the Thames?
The dock where Archie and the Ferryman are waiting is on the opposite side of London Bridge. To get there, head north-west.
Along the way, the game will suggest you visit the blocked Tower Bridge. You can visit this bridge, but be careful. The famous landmark is inhabited by a group of dangerous cannibals.
The road to the still operational London Bridge leads through the city's narrow streets. There is also a large camp of hooligans near the Borough Market - the enemies will block the path to the bridge . Many of the enemies here are equipped with firearms and even flamethrowers, so approach this fight very carefully. We recommend keeping a considerable distance, saving frequently and using nearby buildings as hiding places.
There is also a special enemy in the camp - Legendary Atkins. He is much more resistant than the other bandits and deals a lot of damage. Be very careful when fighting him, as he can kill you fast. Before taking care of the "boss", we recommend that you get rid of the weaker enemies.
In the very middle of London Bridge you will find a small settlement and a man named Beefy. He will demand 10 metro tickets from you to get to the other side. By interacting with him, you can learn his story and accept a quest related to local cannibals.
Pay and reach the other side. You will meet the Ferryman and Archie in the small dock below the bridge. Talk to them to update the quest objective.
Monument Lab and the boss fight
The updated quest objective will send you to the nearby Monument Lab bunker. You will get there by going north. The entrance is incorporated into the base of one of the monuments. Be careful, because the entrance is guarded by difficult-to-hit robotic pigeons.
As you enter, you will hear disturbing sounds coming from the room on the right. Approach the mysterious door to learn that you will need to use a terminal to open it.
The computer is located in the room at the end of the corridor, opposite the entrance to the facility. Approach the marked terminal to find out that you need to turn on the main power supply to the laboratory.
The switch is located in the room to the left of the main entrance. After activating it, you must return to the room with the terminal. Be careful, however, because turning on the facility's systems will activate turrets that will start shooting at you. We recommend that you eliminate them one by one, waiting for breaks between their bursts.
Activate the appropriate command in the terminal and then return to the room to the right of the entrance. Get ready for a boss fight.
How to defeat Super Clone Experiment?
In the open room you will face a strong opponent - Super Clone Experiment. The mutant abomination fights with an electric baton, which can easily kill a character with weaker armor.
The key to defeating the mutant is proper maneuvering around the arena. Run around the room, occasionally jumping down to the central area just below. Change direction from time to time to confuse this slow opponent.
After several cycles of running away, shooting a quick burst and running away again, the mutant should finally die. As a reward, you will receive a special weapon - Assassin's Knuckles.
Approach the terminal at the end of the room and get the most important information from it. You can then leave the facility and head back to Archie and the Ferryman.
How to complete the "Lands of the Seraph" quest?
Return to the small dock where the Ferryman and Archie are waiting. Share the knowledge you gathered during your visit to the Monument Lab. The heroes will ask you for an additional favor, which will be to take the boy to St. Paul's Sanctuary. However, this starts a completely new mission - the "Lands of the Seraph" quest ends here.
