Wight and Lich | Bestiary Dragon's Dogma Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Description: Wights and Liches are formidable undead mages with a wide variety of spells. Their basic battle strategy is the summoning armies of Skeletons and other monsters.
Location: Miasmic Haunt, the vicinity of Greatwall, a quest in Greatwall (Deny Salvation).
Weakness: Holy damage, fire.
Attacks: Wights have several spells: thunder, ice spikes, slowing down (area effect), silencing (prevents the use of magick) and healing (are effect, but only on the undead, including the Liches themselves). The most dangerous is, however, Summon Monster and Malestrom (powerful area effect spell).
Strategy: The battle with Wights/Liches can be carried out in several ways, depending on what skills you possess. Spellcaster and bowmen can simply attack from a distance - holy and fire attacks work best here.
Another idea is to destroy the summoned undead in order to provoke the Lich back on the ground. It's the only way it can create a new army. When he's busy performing the summoning spell, you can strike it all the way you want.
Lich
Description: The Lich is a special version of the Wight, with much more powerful spells at is disposal. The battle strategy is similar, though the fight will certainly be harder.
Location: The Everfall (Chamber of Fate, Chamber of Woe).
Attacks: The Lich can not only cast powerful spells which deal a lot of damage, but also petrify and poison the characters. The Lich also summons more formidable monsters, i.e. Hellhounds.
Strategy: The Lich may be tougher than the Wight, but its affected by the same battle strategy. Remember to avoid its area effect spells.
