Bitterblack Sanctum | Bitterblack Isle - Dark Arisen DLC Dragon's Dogma Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Here you will face Daimon, and during the second attempt with his second form (Awakened). It is the final boss in Dark Arisen. He is a very dynamic opponent. His attacks aren't as strong as some other bosses you faced. During the first phase of the battle you should use two negative modifiers: Poison and Tarred caused by oil, skills or grenades (or Rusted weapon). On the other side, he is resistant only to Blindness and Silence, so you should also use all attacks that reduce attack and defense of the enemy. You should prepare for this battle not only by equipping proper equipment, but by selecting good active and passive abilities as well. Depending on what profession are you using, try to maximize the most important parameters of your character.
Mages and wizards can hide behind the throne of the monster. The object is indestructible (in difference to the pillars) and from there one can use ranged attacks. The enemy can be attacked from below or by climbing on him (he will usually throw you off with a fast move, your health won't suffer greatly from that) and hitting his head. In case of defensive strategies you must consider both magical and physical attacks of the enemy, he uses both types regularly.
During the second attempt at fighting with Awakened Daimon you should have spells (in case of a mage) or weapons with Holy attributes. Additionally, the beast will be resistant to slow, but poison effect will be still a good modifier to use against the monster.
