The Pilgrim's Gauntlet | Bitterblack Isle - Dark Arisen DLC Dragon's Dogma Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Once again you will reach a location that is similar to the one from the first level. You will encounter a new type of enemies - Pyre Saurians. Before you launch your melee attacks, try to try to extinguish them with water or ice. Their weak spot is the tail.
The square is filled with Undead Warriors. Watch out for assassins and try to take mages down first (they can heal and have the lowest defense). Depending on the class of your hero, try to run around the group and attack from a distance, without drawing too much attention or kill them one by one.
After the battle, the indicator will lead you to another Void Key which is required to continue your journey. However, that's not the end - as soon as you enter the square a deadly Cursed Dragon will appear.
The dragon will prefer to use melee attacks in the first stage of the fight. Some of its special attacks are Poison Breath and Cursed Breath Assault which is often used if the dragon has less than 50% of health left (similar to the one used by Basilisk). It can cause Torpor, Poison or Curse. To effectively deal with the creature use fire and poison (e.g. vials with poison). The beast is also vulnerable to Silence and Torpor, which can be triggered by specific spells or abilities. You should have a special potion with you - Violet Concoction (check Crafting). It causes both effects.
Later on, you may encounter other powerful creatures here. Because it is a typical dragon, it is highly possible that one of your items will receive Dragonforged status (IV level of upgrade). Head upstairs to the exit.
