Golem | Bestiary Dragon's Dogma Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Description: The Golem is several tons of stone fuelled by powerful magick. Its characterized by clearly visible weak spots in different parts of its body.
Location: Outside BlueMoon Tower, Tomb of The Unknown Traveller (near the Bloodwater Beach), Moonsbit Pass (after killing the Dragon), The Everfall, Witchwood (during the Witch Hunt quest).
Attacks: The Golem has several types of arm swings, punches and blows. It can also suck the life energy from its enemies (by holding them in its hand). The boss' special attack is a laser which causes explosions. If you interrupt it by an arrow (when the Golem is busy loading the missiles) you can cause it to fall down.
Weakness: Weak spots - glowing discs.
Resistance: Magick.
Strategy: When fighting the Golem, focus on its weak spots - the discs glowing on its body. There are several of them - on its arms, torso, head and legs. There is even one spot on the sole of one of the feet. After destroying a disc it's better to fall back, because that's when the Golem can attack with double strength (though it will become immobile for a moment). In time, its movements will become slower.
Metal Golem
Description: The Metal Golem is a special version of the Golem, which is quite rare, but can be quite challenging. Especially to mage characters.
Location: Witchwood (during the Witch Hunt quest), The Everfall (Chamber of Estrangement).
Attacks: The Metal Golem is much more mobile and dangerous. It also has weak spots, but the difference is that they are scattered in the area around it. Watch closely to locate them - they glow in the direction of the enemy. The weak spot discs are highly resistant to magick, so spellcaster may be having some difficulties in this fight.
