The Last Harvest - side quest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Guide

Daria will contact Jensen during his third visit in Prague

The opportunity to unlock this quest arises during the third visit in Prague (after completing the main quest GARM), the one where you have to deal with the police curfew around the city. Additional prerequisite is earlier completion of The Harvester side quest, which involved investigating the murder of Angela Gunn.

While travelling around the city, Jensen should be contacted by his neighbor, Daria Myska, who we had an opportunity to talk to earlier. The girl will inform him that she is in mortal danger, and asks Jensen to pay her a visit as quickly as possible.

Mission objectives

1. MANDATORY - Check Up on Daria Myska - Reach Daria's apartment in Zelen Apartments (M4,2).

2. MANDATORY - Find Clues about Daria - You need to find all the clues in Daria's apartment.

3. SECONDARY - Seek out Dr. Cipra - This objective will be unlocked once you read the message found on the computer in Daria's apartment. Reach the drugstore in Northern Prague (M3,16) and talk to Nicholas Cipra.

4. MANDATORY - Follow the trail - You have to follow the blood trails from Daria's apartment to a large room in the sewers (M6,10).

5. MANDATORY - Neutralize the Harvester - This objective will appear only if you decided to fight the serial killer's copycat.

Reaching Daria's apartment

You will bump into detective Montag near the entrance to Daria's apartment

As a reminder, Daria lives in Southern Prague. Her apartment is in Zelen Apartments, and can be found under number 31 (M4,2). Once you reach the place, Jensen will bump into detective Karl Montag, but the conversation cannot be influenced in any major way. After the meeting with Montag use Jensen's hacking abilities to open the door (the lock has only level one security). Once you enter the apartment, you'll receive 350 experience points.

Searching for clues

The clues in the vandalized apartment can be found in any order. Smart Vision will be useful in finding them. Here is a comparison:

• Daria's computer - It has level four security, but hacking it is mandatory (use a multi-tool if you have to) to read the correspondence between Daria and Doctor Cipra (above screenshot). It will allow you to visit the doctor later and get some valuable information.
• Blood on the floor.
• Textbook on a wooden table.
• Bear Rug.
• Cat Collar on the statue.
• Daria Myska's Diary on the bed.
• Hypodermic Needles in the bathroom.
• eBook about The Harvester on one of the shelves.
• Bloody Number on the blood-covered wall.

You'll receive 350 experience points for finding all the clues. You can now follow the blood trails (main objective: Follow the trail) or visit doctor Cipra (secondary objective: Seek out Dr.Cipra). Choose the second variant, because if you are able to acquire some information from the aforementioned doctor, you'll have some valuable info that is useful in the further part of the quest.

Seeking out Dr. Cipra

Eliminate the cops or sneak past them

Doctor Cipra works in a drugstore in Northern Prague (M3,16). Choose Davny station, as the drugstore is not far away from it. Along the way, avoid confrontations with local cops. Sadly, two policemen are just before the entrance to the drugstore. If you are planning to eliminate them, wait until they disperse and try to not alarm them (takedowns would be the best approach), otherwise the nearby guard robot will "awaken". Alternatively, you can sneak past the guards, either by waiting for a right moment, or by using the camouflage.

Try to use Interruption to learn the secret password used to neutralize Daria's chip

Once you arrive to the drugstore, talk to Doctor Nicholas Cipra and ask him about Daria and the correspondence found on her computer. Cipra will tell you about a procedure to which Daria was subjected that made her acquire the personality traits of the prisoner who was the real Harvester. It will allow you to establish that she is responsible for these recent murders, very similar to these committed in the past by the "original" serial murderer. Cipra will reveal that Daria has a built-in chip, and removing it will allow (as the time goes) removing the unwanted personality traits.

You can now end the conversation (250 experience points) or continue it by asking Cipra a question about a different solution to Daria's problem. If you have Social Enhancer augmentation, you can interrupt the conversation in a right moment - choose the left dialogue option (Contradiction - Alfa type personality). You'll acquire 200 additional experience points and receive a secret password which will force Daria to react.

Following the blood trails

Enter the ventilation shaft in Daria's apartment.

Return to Daria's apartment in Southern Prague (M4,2) and once again look to the room with bloody numbers on the wall. There, you can find an entrance to the ventilation shaft that you can use to begin following the blood trails (once again, Smart Vision will prove useful). Once you find yourself on the roof, you'll notice that the trails lead to a nearby street. You can jump there or (if you don't have Icarus Landing System) leave the building and find the street between the buildings.

Continue following the trails, you'll finally encounter an entrance to the sewers under Southern Prague (M2,13).

Once you enter the sewers, find a Cell Phone lying on the floor. Then, choose the path leading to a large area in the south-western part of the sewers (M6,10). When you open the gate, an encounter with Daria Myska will start automatically.

Aggressive approach

When the encounter begins, Jensen will automatically hide behind a cover

The conversation with Daria Myska can result in few different outcomes. If you hadn't visited Dr. Cipra, you won't suspect the girl as the perpetrator of the murders. As a result, you'll be ambushed by her when attempting to rescue her. Confrontation with Daria can also be sparked with the conversation - you can accuse her of killing innocent people, and decide on attacking her.

When the combat begins, Daria will use camouflage, and throw a smoke grenade. Additionally, the "arena" will be surrounded by laser barriers connected to mines (fragmentation and EMP ones - they are marked by different colors) and a defense turret will be activated, scanning the area in search for targets.

You can stun Daria and remove the chip from her body

Regardless of your plans towards Daria, your first priority should be avoiding the central area, which is surrounded by laser barriers. This can be achieved by staying behind cover at all time, and using an EMP grenade or Remote Hacking to disable chosen barriers.

If you are planning to stun Daria, you should wait for a good moment to sneak up to her and perform a takedown. Using a stun weapon or, for example, throwing some gas grenades around the room should do the trick too. Once you render Daria unconscious, approach her and take the Neural Chip that has affected her behavior from her body (you can find it among other inventory items as Daria's Neural Chip).

If you decide for killing Daria, you may use a good firearm (for example, a grenade launcher or a rifle) or grenades. There is a simple trick that will facilitate eliminating her. If you are able to reach a small balcony on the higher floor, you may enter a small room with a hole in the floor. When you jump in it, you'll find yourself in a side area with the security computer, shown on the screenshot 1. You can use that computer to reprogram the turret so that it shoots Daria once she enters its field of vision (screenshot 2). In this case, you won't need the chip, as you haven't been able to save Daria.

For neutralizing Daria you can receive 1850 experience points and a bonus if you've managed to avoid detection throughout the whole fight.

Peaceful solution

A peaceful solution is possible if you had met with doctor Cipra, resulting in more knowledge about Daria's medical history and the procedure which she undertook. In this case, at the beginning of the conversation choose right dialogue options. Once Daria aims a gun at you, choose the upper option to say the secret password that turns off the chip implanted in her body. The correct password has been marked on the attached screenshot - it's the left dialogue option.

Once you are left with another choice of action, use Social Enhancer (press the button/key responsible for applying persuasion)

It's not over yet. You need to correctly lead the final part of the conversation with Daria. You could employ Social Enhancer to observe how she reacts to different statements by Jensen, and to build a psychological profile. Use "Humanize" dialogue options - upper ones (Omega personality). As a reward for completing the conversation you'll receive 500 experience points. You can now safely approach Daria, as she won't use her pistol. Daria will surrender to detective Montag, and the quest will end. For completing the encounter in a peaceful manner you'll receive 1850 experience points (+ aforementioned 500)
