K is for Kazdy - side quest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Guide
Last update: 21 September 2016
The opportunity to complete this quests arises during the third visit to Prague (after completing GARM - the main quest involving the trip to Swiss Alps), the one during which you have to deal with the police curfew. If during the earlier side quest Samizdat you've helped the members of this organization, Jensen will receive a SOS signal from hackers with a location of the meeting.
You have to enter the sewers located underneath Southern Prague (choose the entrance located near Zelen Apartments - (M2,13)). The Samizdat members can be found on level three in the northern part of the sewers (M6,9). Once you reach the place, talk to Little K to get the news - K and other members have been arrested (350 experience points). You'll be asked to free them, and you have to agree to this plan.
- Mission objectives
- Reaching the makeshift precinct
- Opening the cells
- Escorting Samizdat members to the rendezvous point
Mission objectives
1. MANDATORY - Infiltrate the makeshift station - The precinct is in Northern Prague (M3,14).
2. MANDATORY - Find a way to open the cell - Break into the terminal near the locked cell.
3. MANDATORY - Meet Samizdat at the rendezvous - You have to make sure that the hackers reach the building located near the police precinct (M3,15).
Note - During the side quest The Golden Ticket you've helped either Edward or Irenka. Now, one of those people may accompany the hackers, and you'll receive an additional objective connected to saving that person. You don't have to complete any additional actions, only "make sure" that everyone leaves the precinct unscathed.
Reaching the makeshift precinct
First, you need to return to Northern Prague. Choose Monument station as the precinct is not far away from it (M3,14). There should be at least two cops guarding the entrance, but you can easily sneak past them. You won't find anybody on the main floor, so you need to go to the cellar. The doors leading to the cellar are locked, and you need to break through (level three security) or use 0010 as the code. You'll receive 750 experience points for reaching the cellar.
Opening the cells
This objective is very simple. There is a terminal near the cell that has level one security. Complete the mini-game to unlock the cell where the hackers are imprisoned (350 experience points).
Escorting Samizdat members to the rendezvous point
Talk to K. During the conversation, you'll have to decide how you want to handle the rescue operation. There are three variants available:
- Order Samizdat members to disguise themselves as cops (left dialogue option) - It's probably the best option, as the hackers will reach the rendezvous place without engaging in firefights.
- Ask Samizdat members to stay in this place (lower dialogue option) - You can use the occasion and "clear" the way to the rendezvous location (i.e. personally eliminate all dangers found on the way). It's a good option if you want to solve the problem in an aggressive way and avoid manpower loss.
- Order Samizdat members to grab the weapons from the police warehouse (right dialogue option) - Once they leave the precinct, they will attack all policemen found along the way to the rendezvous location. It's a very risky variant, as you will alarm all the policemen, and if you don't involve yourself enough, they may die.
The rendezvous location is the Praha Unneda Cleaning Supply building located not far west from the precinct (M3,15). If you told the hackers to wear the police outfits, they should reach the location without your help - only thing you have to do is reach the location yourself (sneaking is always encouraged). If you chose the aggressive variant, you need to eliminate all cops, robots and drones that can hinder your rescue operation.
Once you enter the building, talk to z K again to complete the quest. Full reward for this quest sums up to 2250 experience points.
