General information about M1 map

The above map presents the unfinished luxury hotel in Dubai and this is the place where the introduction to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place. The main objective here is to stop the black market weapon transaction. The journey through the hotel is partially linear, as you have to get to the areas associated with the first main mission of the story in specific order. The main character, however, has some freedom of choice when it comes to the route of the march, as well as the general behavior (sneaking, getting into open fights, and so on).

During the exploration of the map it's worth to look around the area carefully, as you will be able to locate alternative routes and get into optional areas with valuable items. The areas containing the most valuable collectibles are marked as green icons on our map. Additionally, you can make full use of the fact that during the prologue you will have access to most of the upgrades. Those will allow the character to, above all else, break through walls, fall from considerable heights or travel through areas filled with poisonous gases.

Note - you won't be able to get to the hotel in Dubai later on in the game. This is why you should collect all of the objects you are interested in. Complete this task before you arrive at the hall with the elevators (M1,5) - from this moment onwards you will have to move fast to reach the helicopter and Singh, who is hiding near the machine.

Quests that begin on M1 map

During your stay in the hotel in Dubai there's only a single main mission to accomplish. Completing it will allow the main character to leave Dubai and head towards Prague.

Black Market Buy- main quest (M1,1)

Merchants and valuable items on M1 map

You won't find any merchants on M1 map, although it's worth to collect all of the items you are able to locate here. Thanks to that you will be able to sell them after arriving in Prague.

Important items in this location are as follow:

  • Tri-Code from the secret area behind the bars (M1,1)
  • Palmtop containing the code to the hall with the elevators (M1,10)
  • Ebook, located in the apartment, behind the signal booster (M1,11)
