The Golden Ticket - side quest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Guide

Express an interest in meeting the document specialist.

This quest can be unlocked after reaching the police station in the southern part of Prague (M2,1). The main character will be stopped by a policeman called Drahomir, from whom he will learn that he lacks the necessary documents. Drahomir will suggest you meet with a document specialist to acquire the necessary papers and to unlock this quest you have to agree to his proposition (select the dialogue options on the right).

List of objectives

1. MANDATORY -Meet the document agent - The document agent can be located in the northern alley (M2,2)

2. MANDATORY - Confront the forger upstairs - You must sneak into the office where Milena can be found (M2,3). This can be done by opening the safe and going through the ventilation shaft.

3. MANDATORY -Meet Edward and Irenka - This objective will be given to you only if you agree to deliver the forged documents to Edward and Irenka. Those two can be found in different parts of the area (M2,4) (M2,5).

4. MANDATORY - Deal with the thug - The thug can be found in a mini-market (M2,5) and you have to neutralize him before he can kill Edward.

5. MANDATORY - Deal with Drahomir - You can complete this objective after meeting with Milena. You must report Drahomir to some real police officers (M2,6).

6. MANDATORY -Travel to Cista Ctvrt - This objective will be given to you only if you deliver the forged documents to Edward and Irenka.

7. MANDATORY - Validate the Permits - This objective will only be available if you deliver the forged documents to Edward and Irenka. You have to reach the Government Registration Office, and authenticate one of the permits (Edward or Irenka's) (M3,1).

Meeting the document agent

Document agent.

Document agent can be found near the end of the alley located in the northern district (M2,2). During the conversation you will learn that the payment for the forged documents is 35,000 credits, which is, as you can imagine, an amount that is unreachable for you during the early stage of the game. Jensen will decide to look for the forger on his own (350 experience points). You can start searching for the person, or attack the document agent and other people in the area. However, this is not a good decision, as you can get into a massive shooting and you can attract the attention of law enforcers as well.

Confront the forger upstairs

You can sneak pas the enemies above their heads.

Approach the courtyard near the Konicky & Hracky shop. The entrance to this forbidden area is guarded by one of the bandits. If you don't want to attack him (and his companions), get on top of the ledge of one of the buildings and move above the bandit.

You must be careful, as enemies are patrolling the courtyard. A good idea is to neutralize them (you can attack and stun them when they separate), as otherwise you will have problems with examining the area and selecting the best route to get to the document forger's hiding spot. If you, however, don't want to attack them, stay on the ledge for as long as you can, or jump on top of one of the nearby buildings. Be prepared to divert their attention, or to quickly get into the safe house described in the further part of this chapter.

The exploration of the courtyard is not mandatory, but you should look around the area for a ventilation shaft, inside of which a pocket secretary containing code 1998 can be found. Afterwards, reach the safe house shown on the above screenshot. The entrance is blocked by level 3 security, but you can use the aforementioned code 1998 to unlock it. Inside you will find another ventilation shaft. Going through it will allow you to get to a room on the upper floor of the building (M2,3). This is where the forger - Milena - can be found.

You can use an EMP charge to sabotage the camera or use camouflage.

There is another route leading into Milena's hideout, but it requires you to avoid laser traps and a camera, which is why it's better to ignore it if you've started the quest on an early stage of the game (which means soon after arriving in Prague). If you, however, still want to check it out, ignore the storage room and head into the nearby building. Don't touch the lasers, as they will cause an explosion. As far as the camera goes, you can sabotage it with an EMP charge or (if you've unlocked some of your lost augmentations with Koller) you can use camouflage. There's a lone guard located near the stairs. You should neutralize him and examine his body - he's carrying a palmtop with 1980 code. Get to the upper floor, avoid lasers and reach the computer. You can now either complete a hacking mini-game (security level 1) or input the code you've just acquired. Afterwards, you can turn off the lasers and the camera, open the door to the treasury and unlock access to the hideout.

Reaching the office will give you 750 experience points and a bonus if you hadn't been spotted.

During the conversation with Milena it's good to select right dialogue options. Thanks to that, you will speak not only about problems with Drahomir, but also about other people with augmentations that Jensen will be able to help. Milena will then ask the protagonist to deliver forged documents to Edward and Irenka.

Note - Milena will give Jensen the access code (2489) to the safe located in the safe house you've just visited. You should go there and plunder it, as there are two fragmentation grenades and a lot of credits hidden there.

Giving documents to Edward and Irenka

Note - This objective will be given to you only if you were curious enough during the conversation with Milena and you agreed to deliver false documents to other people with augmentations. If you've skipped this step you can go straight to the step associated with getting rid of Drahomir.

Irenka

Irenka Bauer can be found in the Vincent Van Aug gallery building in the central part of the district (M2,4). Search for an entrance to the basement, where a small theater room is located. Complete a short conversation and give the forged documents to the woman.

Get rid of the thug in the mini-market to save Edward.

Edward Brod is working in a mini-market located in the southern part of the district (M2,5). After arriving in the area you will find a thug aiming his weapon at Edward. You must act fast if you don't want Edward to be killed. You can either shoot the thug or approach him from behind and perform a takedown. Speak with Edward, provided that he survived. You can either tell him the truth about the effectiveness of the documents you've just given him, or keep that information to yourself. Additionally, you can agree for a small payment (52 credits) or decide not to take it. You will receive 750 experience points.

Milena will contact Jensen and will give him code 6788. The protagonist will be able to use the code later, after reaching a government booth in order to register the documents you received.

Dealing with Drahomir

Speak with the non-corrupt police officer.

Don't go back to Drahomir, as even if you informed him that you've seen through his scheme, the only outcome will be a direct, lethal confrontation. Instead, look for a Police Officer mentioned by Milena - you can find her north-west from the police station (M2,6).

During the conversation with the police officer you can do two things - accuse Drahomir of capturing and holding Milena hostage, or of document forgery and forcing people with augmentations to purchase them. In both cases the police officer will decide to take action and will travel with her subordinates towards the police station. You don't have to do anything else - just wait for Drahomir and other corrupted policemen to be shot. Afterwards, you can examine Drahomir's body to find, above all else, a palmtop. You will receive 1,500 experience points.

Note - if during the conversation with Milena you've skipped the step with delivering the forged documents to Edward and Irenka, the quest will end. Otherwise, it will still be active and you will have to go to the Government Office of Registration to activate the documents you've received earlier (description below).

Validating the permits

The Government Registration Office is in the northern part of Prague (M3,1), so you have to reach Capek metro station, and choose Monument station as the destination. The main entrance to the office is guarded by two guards, and you cannot simply pass them by, because the area of the office is a restricted zone, and you would be attacked. Nevertheless, if you want to use this door, use the camouflage or quickly neutralize both guards using, for example, throwable items, or a stun weapon. The important thing is to avoid attracting attention from other police officers from the area. Also avoid entering the area guarded by the camera, because it can trigger an alarm.

A much better idea is to sneak inside of the office through ventilation shafts. To do that, investigate the area behind the office, and locate the entrance to the shaft, visible on the above screenshot. Jump on the car, then make the first jump to open the grate, and then the second to enter the shaft.

Hack the computer and activate one of the stations

Regardless of the chosen tactic, you have to reach the room in the back of the registration office. Here, you also need to avoid detection by camera. Investigate the computer found here - it has level 1 security, but you can also use the password samithedog (you obtain it through checking a palmtop carried by one of the guards). Thanks to hacking the system, you can not only turn off the cameras, but also activate the station to authenticate permits.

The station for validating permits

Approach the activated station and use it. A conversation with Milena will begin, which states that only one person can acquire the permit. You have to decide who is going to receive it: Edward or Irenka. The decision has to be made before the time runs out, otherwise the task will be failed and nobody will receive the permit. The quest is complete. You'll receive 1500 experience points and a bonus if you hadn't been spotted.

Epilogue: The person whose permit wasn't validated is sent to Golem city in Utulek complex (M15 map in our guide). You can meet with either Edward or Irenka for a short conversation, with a possibility of giving neuropozyne to your interlocutor.
