Where to harvest souls the quick way? Dark Souls III Guide
Last update: 01 June 2016
Later into the game, higher levels will cost you more and more souls. For this reason, it is a good idea to find a good place where you can kill enemies relatively quickly and obtain lots of experience. Below, you can find a list of three locations in which you can get rich relatively quickly.
Note: Before you go to any of the places, it is a good idea to get proper equipment. Shield of Want and Covetous Silver Serpent Ring will increase the number of souls that you receive and Covetous Gold Serpent Ring will have a positive effect on the amount of items that you find. Similar effect can be attributed to Rapier of the Crystal Sage, that you can craft from his soul. Finally, you can increase chances for larger drop from the enemies, by using the Rusty coin or Rusty gold coin, to obtain even better results.
Irithyll of Boreal Valley
A good place in Irithyll of Boreal Valley are the vicinities of Church of Yorshka. On the nearby cathedral and right next to it, there are several stronger opponents that will provide you with quite a few souls and items.
Another location in this area are sewers near Distant Manor bonfire. Spiders that you find there are easy to defeat and for each one, you receive nearly 1000 souls.
Grand Archives
Go to the rooftops in Great Archives (after you unlock the shortcut, take the lift next to the bonfire in front of the entrance). Then, go left over the stairs, along the round tower. You will then notice three knights with wings in the distance. They will jump down from the dome as soon as you come close. For defeating each one of them, you should be rewarded with around 17 000 souls, which you can use as a quick way to level up, after you master the right tactic.
Archdragon Peak
Go to Dragon-Kin Mausoleum bonfire. After you enter, stand by the summon sign. The mage above will be summoning knights for the whole time, until you kill him. While by the summon sign, you can start the battle with a thrust into the back and then attack quickly and execute the opponent. You do not have to return to the bonfire - enemies will come to you. Thanks to starting the battle with a thrust, you should be able to kill each knight without major problems, and each one is worth 5 000 souls. For the back thrust to be effective, wait for the knight to appear completely.
