High Wall of Lothric - finding the key

Greirat can be found in High Wall of Lothric. He will be locked in a cell, and a key will be required to set him free. You can find it in the location presented in the screenshot. This place is situated below the roof, where one of the fanatics changed into an image of the first boss. Search this location and you will find Cell key by the stairs.

Setting him free

Open the cell and talk with the prisoner.

If you forgot the way, start from the second bonfire, Tower on the Wall. Head to the very bottom of the tower. You won't get lost as the corridor leads directly to Greirat. Use the key to open the cell and talk to the prisoner. You will be asked to return Blue Tearsome Ring to Loretta, located in Undead Settlement. Greirat will offer his help if you accept his terms, and travel to Cleansing Chapel.

Undead Settlement- Loretta's Bone

Pass the gate and access the house on the left. Enter the balcony and drop another hanging body.

Go down towards a large square with a huge bonfire and a group of enemies. The fallen body that is situated in front of the building has Loretta's Bone

Cleansing Chapel

Retrieve the item and talk to Greirat. You will obtain Curl Up gesture. Greirat can also sell you some items. If you let him go hunting, he will leave Cleansing Chapel.

Greirat will return after killing Deacons of the Deep, and will offer some more items.

Irithyll in the Boreal Valley

Lighting up the bonfire means sending Greirat out on search. Talk to him at the Firelink Shrine and agree to his journey. Greirat my not return. To save him, you can do either of the following:

1. If you have not bought Siegward's armor from Unbreakable Patches, tell him where Greirat went. He will save him, but only before the battle with Pontiff Sulyvahn.

2. If you helped Siegward in the Cathedral of the Deep by giving his armor to him, he should be able to save Greirat, if you meet him in the sewers.

After you manage to save Greirat, he will return to you after the fight with Pontiff Sulyvahn and claim that he has been saved by a an onion knight. Otherwise, you will find his corpse in the sewers.

Note: Even if you have not been following Siegward's quest, but you never encountered him in the sewers (you first activated the bonfire in Irithyll Dungeon), he will not help Greirat, who will die in the sewers. This is where you find his body (in front of the kitchen entrance where Siegward used to be, in the corner of the flooded room). Take his remains to Shrine Handmaid and she will start to sell new items.

Grand Archives

The rooftop that you can jump off to reach another one, where you can find Greirat's corpse, if only you sent him to Lothric.

After you enter the Lothric Castle, Greirat will ask you again to grant him your permission to go hunting. If you agree, he will not return anymore. You will find his corpse on one of the rooftops in Grand Archives. Jump down, where you find a shaman and several opponents gathered around him. Then, walk over to the end of the roof, where you have to run up to make it over to the next rooftop.

Note: As a result of attacking Greirat in Firelink Shrine, when there also is Unbreakable Patches standing next to him, Patches will attack you.
