Covenants Dark Souls III Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Covenants are special groups that are related to multiplayer mode. Depending on the covenant you choose, you will be able to attack hostile players or help those from your group, and thus gain higher ranks. Furthermore, you will receive extra bonuses and rare items. In order to join a covenant, you need a proper item associated with the given covenant. You can find them scattered around the game world, or obtain them from specific characters. You can switch between covenants whenever you want. All you need to do is to activate the right covenant sign in your inventory.
Available Covenants:
- Warriors of Sunlight
- Way of Blue
- Blue Sentinels
- Blades of the Darkmoon
- Rosaria's Fingers
- Mound-Makers
- Watchdogs of Farron
- Aldrich Faithful
Warriors of Sunlight
The proper item can be found in Undead Settlement. Once you get to a large square where an Undead Matron is lying by the bonfire (the first time you encounter this type of enemy) and other enemies are scattered all around, you can go straight or turn right to the bridge. Choose the first option and enter a building through a door on the left side. Here, you will also find a hole in the floor that you can use to access the lower room.
Way of Blue
The item will be given by Emma in High Wall of Lothric. Search for her in the cathedral, opposite the boss arena. Talk to her twice.
Blue Sentinels
You will obtain this item in Road of Sacrifices. All you need to do is to meet with Anri and Horace and talk to each of them. You can do that by Halfway Fortress.
Blades of the Darkmoon
Collect the item once you get to the tower that will move up as soon as you use the lever, right before the bonfire in Anor Londo. When you are at the top, go downstairs (when the tower gives access to Anor Londo). The screenshot presents a different tower where you will receive the covenant sign. To get to it, walk across the invisible bridge - turn your character as if you were to fall into the abyss. Cross the bridge to talk to the leader. If you have already received Darkmoon Loyalty gesture from Sirris, you will be able to bow, and thus receive the covenant sign.
Rosaria's Fingers
You will find Rosaria in Cathedral of the Deep. To get to her bedroom you need to use the elevator and reach the top. Then jump down to get to a scaffold, situated right under the roof (find more details in a chapter devoted to Cathedral of the Deep - inside (going up). She can also reset your skill points, but remember that you can perform this action only 5 times throughout the entire gameplay. You may also change your appearance.
Remember: Joining this covenant may prevent you from finishing Sirris's quest.
Mound-Makers
The proper item can be found in Undead Settlement. Once you get to a large square where an Undead Matron is lying by the bonfire (the first time you encounter this type of enemy) and other enemies are scattered all around, you can go straight or turn right to the bridge. Choose the second option. Once you pass the bridge, walk around the building where two enemies have been spotted. You will get to a narrow path and some enemies will shoot at you from the roof. Use the ladder and jump down to the right side. You should come across a character that has a cage on its back. - interact with it and enter the cage. You will be taken to a location where the desired covenant sign will be waiting for you. You can perform this action only before killing the boss. (Curse-Rotten Greatwood).
Remember: if you miss this covenant, you can still receive the item from Sirris, once you complete her quest.
Watchdogs of Farron
The Old Wolf of Farron is inside, by the bonfire. Come closer to receive the right item and become a part of Watchdogs of Farron covenant. Find it in Farron Keep. You can access this place in the lower part of the area (a building with a long ladder). Right above this place, a mini boss will be waiting for you. Should you have problems to get to this location, read the chapter devoted to Farron Keep.
Aldrich Faithful
The last covenant can be located in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley (the chapter devoted to this location is called Irithyll of the Boreal Valley - Path to Anor Londo). Right behind the square with a giant, you will enter a building with stairs. Before you use them, turn left and hit the wall to identify a hidden illusion. Once you find the hidden place, use the ladder that will let you face two ferocious beasts. Kill them and pray by the fallen Archdeacon in the corner.
