You'll receive two rewards as soon after leaving the security office: 500 experience points is the main reward for reaching Steiner's hideout and 1000 experience points is a bonus for escaping the previous locations without triggering any alarms. Use the linear corridor to enter a large office where Steiner can be found. The game will automatically trigger a conversation with this ancient vampire.

You can start the conversation by taking all of the glory for reaching this location (I'm good!) or by admitting that you had help from others (I had help). Generally the choices you'll make during this conversation won't have any influence on its outcome so the only real difference is what responses you'll hear. You'll soon have a chance to ask Steiner some additional questions about the vampires and about himself.

A list of dialogue options will appear one more time after Eric will mention that he needs Steiner's blood in order to avoid turning into a ghoul. Offering Steiner precious knowledge (I have information) will end in a failure, because he won't be interested. Saying that you'll spare him afterwards (I'll let you live) won't scare him. The last option (Enough talk) will allow you to cut this conversation short.

No matter which dialogue options you've decided to choose you won't receive Steiner's blood and you won't be forced to fight him. Sooner or later a cut-scene will be played and it will show vampire hunters led by an unidentified woman kidnap Steiner. Eric will use the commotion and escape from Steiner's lair without being taken as well. This is the end of this chapter and once again you'll be rewarded - 1500 experience points is the main reward for finding Steiner and 1000 experience points is a bonus for avoiding alarms (you can't miss it, because since the moment you left the security office Eric didn't have to avoid any new guards).
