DARK Description

DARK is a stealth game enriched with RPG elements, in which you play as a vampire. The game was developed by Realmforge studio, the creators of an adventure game Ceville as well as Dungeons series.

The story takes place in modern times, but at the same time the world presented by the developers contains features taken straight out of fantasy. You play as Eric Bane, who one day wakes up in a bar with no memory of who he is or how has he found himself in this place. The protagonist soon learns that he has been bitten by a vampire, and has little time until the conversion process completes and he becomes a mindless creature, or a ghoul.

DARK offers an extensive single-player campaign, during which you visit, among others, a vast museum or a huge skyscraper of a hostile corporation. The game is an action-adventure game heavily influenced by stealth elements, since most of the time you spend darting between the shadows and silently eliminating opponents.

As befits a vampire, Eric has a number of supernatural abilities, including teleportation, temporarily stunning enemies, becoming partially invisible, or moving with superhuman speed. All this is very useful, as in the course of the game you have to face not only people (including the heavily armed and armoured hunters ), but also very fast and poisonous ghouls.

Eric knows many ways how to deal with his opponents, including silent executions or attacking them from a safe distance. For more advanced vampire powers the character can use vital energy that is renewed by feeding on enemies. All this has been enriched with a number of RPG elements - you can talk with NPC’s and do simple jobs for them, earn experience points and spend them on Bane’s skills and powers.

DARK’s graphics is characterized by a dark comic style achieved by means of a popular technology called cel shading. Another thing that is worth noting, is nice visual effects of Eric’s supernatural powers, like e.g. the vampire vision, which allows you to see through environmental obstacles to spot enemies and important objects.
