The key locations in the City | Trips to the City Thief Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Below, you can find a letter of the most important locations in the city. Detailed locations of these places have been provided on maps and on the two previous pages of this guide.
1) The Clock Tower - The Clock Tower is Garrett's field base and also the place where he can feel absolutely safe. This is here that you start the game, after you complete each consecutive chapter. Your character stores all the collectibles in here, thanks to which, you can view and review them as much as you want. Apart from that, there is a chest here, where you can store those of the elements of the equipment that you do not need at the moment (e.g. the excess of arrows).
2) The Clock Tower Plaza - as its name suggests, it is the square that neighbors the Clock Tower (the central part of the Stonemarket), which of course means that you will be often visiting this location. At the beginning of the game, while roaming around this location, you can encounter two, or even three guards. Fortunately enough, towards the end of the campaign mode, it is mainly the friendly characters that will be staying here.
3) The Crippled Burrick tavern - this tavern is located right next to the Clock Tower and you visit it often, especially at the beginning stages of the game. In this location, you can mainly meet Basso, i.e. the character connected with many of the main missions that you do, and also the person that you receive the majority of the side missions from. The noteworthy fact is that Garrett will not encounter any opponents, while in the tavern.
4) The Chapel - The chapel is in the North-most part of the Stonemarket, near the Mourningside. In this location, you can meet the Queen of Beggars that you can unlock Focus points (in exchange for gold) with.
5) Ector's Emporium - The emporium is located in the North-Western part of the Stonemarket and it is best to visit it, for the first time, as a part of a side mission performed for Basso. In this location, you will meet Ector, who is going to give him three optional missions.
6) The Old Quarter - The Old Quarter is located in the South-Eastern part of the Stonemarket and you visit it, for the first time, after you complete the sixth chapter of the campaign mode. In here, you can find a number of buildings connected with the main and the side missions. The central part of the Old Quarter is well guarded so, you need to be vigilant here.
7) Baron's Way South - This is a very important area, which you should learn quite early. The Baron's Way South connects two important parts of the city, i.e. the Stonemarket and the South Quarter. Also, there is a passage to the Market Street here, which you visit after you have completed the fifth chapter of the campaign mode. Unfortunately, the Baron's way is well guarded, throughout the entire game. As a result, it is vital that you avoid the guards.
8) South Quarter - Unlike the Stonemarket, which consists of several smaller locations, the South Quarter is, simply, one large location. This is not to say that you can cross it without any obstructions, because also here, it is required that you find transit points. Also, this district is being patrolled by multiple enemies so, it is recommended that you take appropriate precautions.
9) The Siren's Rest tavern - This tavern is in the docks, at the South-most fragment of the South Quarter and, as much as the docks themselves are being guarded, inside the tavern, you will encounter no enemies. You can meet Vittori here, who tasks you three of the most complex side missions.
