Achievements | Client Jobs - Vittori Thief Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
In Thief there is a total of 37 achievements. They are common for the PC version (the Steam Service), for Microsoft and Sony consoles (Trophies). Below, you can find a full list of these.
Cache Dispenser
Way to unlock: You need to spend a total of 40000 gold pieces.
Commentary: Remember to complete each mission in 100 percent, and to take on the optional missions because, this is the only way to collect and spend enough gold, throughout the game, to obtain this achievement.
Clear Headed
Way to unlock: You need to reach the final chapter of the game without using Focus.
Commentary: If you do not want to make any mistakes and start Focus by accident, disable it completely, by activating one of the additional modifiers.
Mint Condition
Way to unlock: You need to complete three chapters in a row, without taking any damage.
Commentary: The best way is to attempt completing the first three chapters, without any failures, because there are multiple problems awaiting Garrett in the further missions (bosses, areas with smoke, traps).
Priceless
Way to unlock: You need to compete one set of unique collectibles.
Commentary: The full list of all the available collectibles (divided into categories) can be found in the chapter entitled Collectibles.
Lockdown
Way to unlock: You need to complete the first chapter.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Dastardly Deeds
Way to unlock: You need to complete all of the side missions from Basso.
Commentary: Basso gives you a total of 25 side missions and they have been described in a separate chapter of this guide
Dirty Secrets
Way to unlock: You need to complete chapter three.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Hard Times
Way to unlock: You need to complete the game at the Master level.
Commentary: I strongly recommend taking this difficulty level, while completing the game for the first time, because it is not that difficult to play at this level.
Whatever you have, it's mine
Way to unlock: You need to complete all of the sets of collectibles.
Commentary: The full list of all the available collectibles (divided into categories) can be found in the chapter entitled Collectibles.
Something to Prove
Way to unlock: You need to complete the game with modifiers that guarantee, at least, 700 points.
Commentary: The descriptions of all the modifiers (along with the point value of each) have been provided on the page entitled Difficulty level selection. It is worth knowing that you do not need to activate the most demanding of the modifiers, i.e. Nerves of Steel. Still, I recommend that you attempt obtaining this achievement only during the second time through thanks to which you will know what to expect in the successive chapters.
A Man Apart
Way to unlock: You need to complete chapter six.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Two Faced
Way to unlock: While completing the first chapter of the game you need to obtain the Lyegrove's jeweled mask.
Commentary: Lyegrove's mask is one of the two at the jeweler's shop. It has been hidden in the safe in the basement.
Child of the Shadows
Way to unlock: You need to complete any chapter without raising the alarm.
Commentary: This is not too demanding an achievement, but it is best to obtain it while completing one of the beginning (easier) chapters of the game.
Legend in Leather
Way to unlock: You need to complete 25 various thieving challenges.
Commentary: Each one of the missions that you play (excluding the ones from Basso) has several thieving challenges (e.g. knock down x characters, rob y characters or collect all loot) and you need to complete a total of 25 of them. To learn more about this, see the chapter entitled Thieving Challenges.
A Moral Victory
Way to unlock: Complete the game without killing or stunning anyone.
Commentary: If you find obtaining this achievement difficult, consider starting the game at the lower difficulty level and focusing entirely on completing the main chapters of the campaign.
Dark Archer
Way to unlock: You need to complete 10 various thieving challenges.
Commentary: Each one of the missions that you play (excluding the ones from Basso) has several thieving challenges (e.g. knock down x characters, rob y characters or collect all loot) and you need to complete a total of 10 of them. To learn more about this, see the chapter entitled Thieving Challenges.
Working Overtime
Way to unlock: You need to complete all of the side missions from Ector and Vittori.
Commentary: Each one of these characters tasks you with three optional missions and they have been described in a separate chapter of this guide.
Obsessive Compulsive
Way to unlock: You need to steal all of the standard loot and collectibles in one chapter of the game.
Commentary: The best way to obtain this achievement is to do that during the first chapter of the game, where there is 60 Loot and 4 Collectibles. Note - in the case of this achievements, consumables, such as arrows and food, are not included.
Quickly Pick a Lucky Lock
Way to unlock: You need to pick a lock with master speed.
Commentary: Master speed means that you need to pick the lock within five seconds. Find a lock that is easy to pick, learn the position in which the lockpicks need to be arranged, load the last saved game and try to perform the same actions, as quickly as possible.
Predatory Drive
Way to unlock: You need to complete the game no faster than 15 hours.
Commentary: There should be no problems with this achievement, assuming that you have selected the highest difficulty level and you are planning on careful exploration. Remember that you also should complete all of the side missions, before you start the last two, combined, chapters of the storyline (the seventh and the eighth).
The Forsaken
Way to unlock: You need to complete chapter five.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Health Hazard
Way to unlock: You need to use objects in the surrounding to stun, or kill, a total of, 10 characters in the game.
Commentary: While exploring the locations, you should, first of all, keep an eye out for crates and chandeliers, which can be detached with arrows, from the main structure. Also, you should remember that, while playing at the highest difficulty level, you must not attack civilians (even if they are hostile towards Garrett).
A Friend in Need
Way to unlock: You need to complete the fourth chapter.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
The Drop
Way to unlock: You need to complete the prologue.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Modesty Denied
Way to unlock: You need to score, at least, 5 million on one of the challenge maps.
Commentary: A detailed description of this element of the game (along with the tips on how to gain the highest score) can be found on the page entitled Challenge Maps.
Hail of Glass
Way to unlock: You need to hit a bottle, in mid flight, with an arrow.
Commentary: It is a good idea to have bought the upgrade that speeds up the process of drawing the bowstring, and the one that slows down time, while aiming. Once you decide you are ready, pick up a bottle, define its trajectory, so that it stays in mid-air as long as possible, and hit it with any arrow.
Focus on the Tasks at Hand
Way to unlock: In the focus mode, open a lock and pickpocket someone.
Commentary: This achievement is very easy, especially that both of these actions do not need to be performed within one activation of focus.
Old Habits Die Hard
Way to unlock: You need to find five secret stashes while exploring the Moira asylum (the fifth chapter).
Commentary: Read the walkthrough for the beginning of the fifth chapter (the men's and women's wards) because, by following the information there, you will have no problems locating all five secret stashes. Inside each one of them, you can find a Pocket Portrait (10 gold pieces worth) which you need to collect.
The Dawn's Light
Way to unlock: You need to complete the final, eighth chapter of the game.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
The Hidden City
Way to unlock: You need to complete the seventh chapter.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Hidden Agenda
Way to unlock: You need to locate 15 of the 73 secret areas.
Commentary: The whereabouts of all the secret chambers can be found in the chapter entitled Secret Areas.
One Step Ahead
Way to unlock: You need to disarm 10 traps.
Commentary: To disarm traps, use the Wirecutter.
Dust to Dust
Way to unlock: You need to complete the second chapter.
Commentary: This achievement is unlocked automatically, while completing the game.
Happy Birthday
Way to unlock: You need to put out a total of 16 various candles.
Commentary: Throughout the game, you will find much more candles, than required for this achievement so, you should have no problems meeting the requirements.
All That Glitters
Way to unlock: You need to find 5 unique collectibles.
Commentary: The list of the collectibles available in the game can be found in the chapter entitled Collectibles.
Finders Keepers
Way to unlock: You need to locate all 73 secret areas.
Commentary: You can find information on the whereabouts of all the secret chambers in the chapter entitled Secret Areas.
Sleight of Hand
Way to unlock: You need to pickpocket 100 people.
Commentary: Try to rob every person that you meet (most usually, you will be obtaining coin purses this way), and you will obtain this achievement long before the end of the game.
