Reach the Women's Ward | Chapter 5: The Forsaken Thief Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

The door to the Women's ward is in the North-Eastern side of the lobby's first floor [Moira Asylum - Womens Ward] - Reach the Womens Ward - Chapter 5: The Forsaken - Thief - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The door to the Women's ward is in the North-Eastern side of the lobby's first floor [Moira Asylum - Women's Ward]. You can gain access to the Women's ward in two different ways. The first variant assumes that you take the door shown in the above screenshot. The door is locked, however and, after you read the notice (Ward Key Notice) on it, you will learn that you need a key that can be obtained in the Men's ward. IF you are planning on going for this variant, feel free to skip to the pages entitled Reach the Men's Ward and Find the key at the Men's Ward.

The second variant assumes that you cross the rooms at the ground floor (the huge dining hall, among others) and the upside to this variant is that Garrett does not need to obtain the key from the Men's ward. I recommend that you do not skip the exploration of any of the locations in the asylum, but it is your call. I recommend that you start by exploring the surroundings, thanks to which you will find Scissors - 3G, a portrait Pocket Portrait - 4G and a Fire Arrow. You can reach the ground floor in one of two ways - either by using the Rope Arrow after you stand at the vertical elevator shaft, or through the door.

The entrance to the venting shaft

To the extent it is possible, I recommend that you slide down the rope to the very bottom, because thanks to this, you will have an easier access to some items- a note (History, 1), a Pocket Portrait - 10G and a Flowers Eternal - Rose Brooch. After you reach the ground floor, go East, examine the document (Writing Materials) on the wall and also collect the two Pens - 4+10G and a note (Voices) from the desk. Locate here the entrance to the venting shaft, use it, and collect the Pocket Portrait - 10G along your path.

The dining hall

Use the lockpicks to leave the hall with showers and, after you walk into the corridor, turn right and examine all the doors. After you open them, you will be able to collect a Tea Pot - 12G, which you may have noticed across the bars. Return to the main corridor and go East, to find a Vase - 10G. You can now go North and enter the dining hall [Moira Asylum - Women's Dining Hall]. I recommend that you explore this place thoroughly, thanks to which you will find two notes (Entertainment and Mess Hall Disturbance), a Poppy, two Forks - 2x2G, two Spoons - 2x2G, a Tea Cup - 2G and a Hand Mirror - 8G.

After you have dealt with everything here, take the exit door, located in the North-Western corner of the dining hall [Moira Asylum - Womens Ward] - Reach the Womens Ward - Chapter 5: The Forsaken - Thief - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After you have dealt with everything here, take the exit door, located in the North-Western corner of the dining hall [Moira Asylum - Women's Ward]. There is a staircase to the first floor here, i.e. to the to the entrance to the Women's Ward, shown in the above screenshot. As I have already mentioned, taking this way will allow you to skip the necessity t explore the Men's Ward, although I recommend against ignoring this additional location. If you still want to push the storyline forward, skip to the page entitled Examine the asylum's documentation.
