Collect three parts of the artifact - description | Chapter 8: The Dawn's Light Thief Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
At first, several words about encounter with Erin. Key to the success is to avoid light explosions she makes, which happens every 10 seconds or so. Otherwise, Garrett will be seriously hurt. So you have to hide behind pillars and walls, like the one shown on the screen above. I don't advise you to hurry in making actions described below, but focus onto getting to the covers and making sure that Garrett is in the shadowy place when the explosion is going to happen.
Don't try approach Erin or attack her with your bow. The only way to win this, is to collect all three parts of the Primal Stone, which are spread around the chapel. First fragment is in the southern part of the chapel, on the higher level (screen above). As this place is open, wait behind the cover for an explosion before you head for it.
When you pick up the first part, move away because Erin teleports there and tries to surprise you with a sudden explosion. It's not the only problem, because from now on her clones will appear. You have to avoid them, because when you find you, they explode.
Second fragment also can be found on the upper level, but in the northern-east corner of the chapel (screen above). I recommend to get through the western and then northern part of this location. Remember about avoiding clones and move away from the place from where you pick up the artifact.
The last, third fragment is on the lower level in the western part of the chapel (screen above). Here you have to be even more cautious, as clones will patrol this level.
Now you just need to walk to Erin, who can be find in the southern part of the bottom chapel level. When you do, a final cut-scene displays. Congratulations!
Remark - after credits, Garrett will be automatically move to the Clocktower in the city. It means that you can still move freely around the city, find new treasures, complete secondary missions or repeat the chapters for collectibles you've missed. More information about that you can find in the chapter Visiting the city
