The Thaumaturge: The Reptilian Bash The Thaumaturge guide, walkthrough

The Reptilian Bash is a long quest with a soiree at the Imperial Hotel in The Thaumaturge. In the walkthrough we explain, among other things, how to get the evening dress, where to find Svetlana in suite 237, who the person with Skaza is, how to learn the secrets of the guests of Sophia Skałon and when Salutor Weles will appear.

In the course of The Reptilian Bash main quest in The Thaumaturge, Wiktor and Ligia will take part in a soiree happening in The Imperial Hotel. Unlocking the quest

1. This quest is unlocked automatically during the course of What We Leave Behind story quest.
2. You need to meet Ligia - sister of the main hero - on the ground floor of Szulski Family Tenement House in Northern Srodmiescie. She will tell you about an invitation to a soiree happening in The Imperial Hotel. Wiktor has to make the necessary preparations for the party, and in the first objectives of the quest you will do exactly that.

Ordering an evening wear from the Tailor

1. Leave the tenement house. Travel to Tailor's Atelier which is found in western part of Northern Srodmiescie. Talk to the Tailor and order an evening wear. The man will promise to deliver the suit to Szulski Family Tenement House once it is ready.
2. Additionally, by talking to the Tailor you can unlock an optional quest - The Tailor's Dillemas. It involves helping find the Tailor inspiration to design new outfits that Wiktor can try out on himself. Visiting a barber

1. The barber salon, on the other hand, is in the Powazki district, so you need to fast travel to this area via carriage or tram. Enter the building in southern part of the district.
2. Talk to the barber and make a change to any category of the available - hairstyle, mustache and beard. The objective is marked as complete by making any change, regardless whether is small or big.

Preparations for the soiree

1. You must return to the Szulski Tenement House, i.e. to Northern Srodmiescie. Enter the room on the left on the ground floor. On the table there should be the package containing the evening wear prepared by the Tailor.
2. Talk to Ligia and change your outfit to evening wear. You will reach the Imperial Hotel, where the soiree will take place.

Finding Svetlana in her apartment

1. Once you are in the hotel lobby, you will be greeted by the concierge. During the conversation with Ligia, you can immediately head to the soiree room or ask her for the opportunity to look around the hotel. Vision of a Salutor observation will be unlocked.
2. In the hotel lobby, there are the following traces - Seance Poster and Golden Cage - the latter is related to a Sketch collectible. You can talk to a group of women about the cage and additionally talk to a group of men (you can optionally provoke Sergei into a fight - you'll be taken to the outside of the hotel for it). You'll unlock Governor-General's Daugther, Defiiant Debutantes, Fan (an item lying on the ground - it will come in handy after meeting Sofya), and Infatuation observations.
3. After exploring the entirety of the lobby, you can use the stairs leading to the upper floor. You will meet Ivan again and you can choose any answers you see fit. Reach apartment 237 - it is at the northern end of the corridor.

1. You don't have to find Svetlana right away and instead you can look around the spacious hotel room. Next to the séance table, you can talk to Madame Samira, who also has a subordinate Salutor. The effects of the dialogue options are rather cosmetic - they won't provoke a fight nor they will change the outcome of the task. You'll unlock Samira's Salutor and Person with the Flaw observations, and a Conclusion - Madame Samira. Additionally, you can talk to Ligia and two men (His Name is Veles and Warning observations).
2. In the main part of the apartment, there are collectibles and numerous observations - Champagne Glasses, Seance Table, Mysterious Book and Row of Candles.
3. Svetlana is in the western part of the apartment. The conversation with her is linear and you will unlock an observation: Subtle Suggestion.

Following Svetlana's thoughts

1. Use Perception to find further traces in the side rooms of the apartment. They are Tiled Stove, String of Pearls, Silk Pillows, Melted Candle, and Travel Chest. This will lead to unlocking All of Svetlana's Fears conclusion - WIktor will learn that Svetlana had an affair with his father.
2. Go out to the balcony via the western door. Talk to Svetlana and bring up the topic of the items found recently.
3. You must follow Svetlana's thoughts again. There is an additional trace in the bedroom from the above picture - Letters.

Learning more about Sofya Skalon's guests

1. A cutscene depicting the invitation to the séance will play and you will receive a Tarot Card (also as an observation). Here you can find further observations - In The Dark, Crystal Mirror, Chair, Ashtray.
2. Sofya Skalon is in the central part of the apartment - talk to her. She will ask Wiktor to reveal the secrets of her guests. Search the apartment again to discover new observations - Party Game, Decorative Vase, Empty glass, Decorative Sofa and Plucked Leaves. By investigating them, you'll uncover new conclusions - The Admirer's Secrets, The Loner's Secrets, and A Friend's Secrets.
3. Return to Sofya Skalon. Here you can reveal secrets of one person from the three or give Sofya the Fan found earlier in the lobby. This will unlock Meaningful Question observation and Sofya Skalon conclusion. You will establish that Salutor is connected to this woman and her Flaw (Sofya Skalon's Flaw observation and The Salutor at the Imperial Hotel conclusion).

Participating in the seance

1. Approach the seance table and click on the empty chair. Thanks to the previously obtained traces, you can reveal Sergei's secret or choose the dialogue option requiring 1 Heart Dimension point.
2. All variants ultimately lead to provoking Sofya and a fight against the boss Veles - we explain this fight in the chapter Bosses.

1. After winning the battle, you will unlock the Scheming Flaw, and additionally, Veles will join your team. There will also be a choice of options regarding Sofya's case. The dialogue options available are, among other things, a unique option to bring her peace of mind (1 Mind Dimension point).
2. You can now either leave the hotel voluntarily or provoke an additional fight which will take place in front of the hotel.
3. The quest ends with returning to Szulski Tenement Home and a longer conversation with Ligia.
