The Thaumaturge: PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions The Thaumaturge guide, walkthrough
Is The Thaumaturge a PC-only game? In our guide, we answer whether PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console owners will be able to play it.
Last update: 14 February 2024
The Thaumaturge is a production that seems best suited to a PC but may fall to the liking of console players. On this page of our guide, we answer the question whether the game will be released on consoles, i.e. PS4, PS5, Switch, XSS and XSX.
PC release
- The Thaumaturge will be released on March 4, 2024 exclusively on PC. Console players won't be able to play it on that day.
PS5 and Xbox Series S/X releases
- The game's authors are planning console releases. There are planned ports for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X - the game won't be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. The reason for such a decision is probably the game's high hardware requirements. The Thaumaturge runs on Unreal Engine 5 and what surprises is the need for very powerful hardware with the PC release.
- At the time of preparation of this guide, the release date of the console edition has not been officially scheduled yet. Initially, it was planned for the beginning of 2024, but the PC version itself was delayed and only released on March 4. Nevertheless, console editions should be released in 2024.
- It is worth noting that the earlier game from Fool's Theory studio - Seven: The Days Long Gone - was released according to a similar pattern. This game initially debuted only on PC and was later converted to PS4. In the case of The Thaumaturge, the title will fortunately also be available to Xbox owners.
