Bastards of the Night is the main quest from the encounter with Abaurycy in the London Bar in The Thaumaturge. The following soluition describes how to use Abaurycy's help in battles, where to find the person with the Flaw and Salutor Lelek, and how to survive the Russian Roulette.

This page of The Thaumaturge guide contains a walkthrough of the Bastards of the Night main quest found in Act 1. Learning more about Abaurycy

1. This quest will start immediately after completing the main quest What We Leave Behind. Wiktor will be captured by Abaurycy and after regaining consciousness, he'll realize he's in the back room of the London Bar.
2. The conversation with Abaurycy does not involve important choices. You don't have to worry about fighting him or Wiktor's premature death either. After some thugs appear in the bar, you will get back the Grimoire and join forces with Abaurycy, i.e. he will become a temporary member of the team.

1. There are several optional documents in the back of the bar. Open the door leading to the main part of the bar. You will have to fight a group of enemies.
2. What you need to remember about not only this fight but the following ones too is that Abaurycy can fight on Wiktor's side. Unfortunately, unlike to Salutors, you cannot give direct orders to your companion.
3. In the action queue at the top of the screen, Abaurycy's actions are marked in green - you can see who he wants to attack and how. Choose the same enemies so that you can defeat them faster working together (Wiktor, Salutor, Abaurycy).

Finding the Person with the Flaw

1. Once you win the fight, you will talk to Abaurycy and Wiktor will mention the Salutor he's spotted. Tracking down the person with Flaw, with whom the Salutor is associated, is the leitmotif of the rest of the quest.
2. You need to search the interior of the London Bar marked with a red circle. You can find secrets, as well as observations: Bullet Hole, Broken window, Knife, Pole and Dirty Rag. You will unlock the conclusion London Bar.
3. After discovering all the traces, Upyr will appear at the bar; approach him and interact. Apart from that, finish the conversation with Abaurycy about Salutor Lelek (new dialogue options will unlock after searching the bar).

1. Leave the bar and go to the Southern Srodmiescie district and start following Abaurycy.
2. On the way, continue using perception, because you will find the following observations: Broken Bottle, Cossack's Hat and Damaged Street Lamp. You will discover the conclusion Bar District.
3. You will meet Timur and Salim standing by a street lamp (Salutor's Presence observation). The police will appear and you will have to win the fight, in which you will again rely on Abaurycy's support.
4. Before you move on, you can explore the Bar Elysium to the north-west of Timur and Salim - the entrance is shown in the attached image. You will find collectibles and new traces there: Notebook and Bloodstains on the Table. You unlock the conclusion Behind the Mask of Barbarism. Additionally, you can talk to Abaurycy and drink some alcohol. Depending on the dialogue options you choose, Abaurycy may feel offended, but he'll neither attack nor abandon Wiktor.

1. Leave the bar and follow Abaurycy southeast. The destination is Bar Lock, Stock, and Barrel Bar. At the entrance you will bump into a bouncer and after a short exchange, he will let you inside. At the bar, Wiktor will spot Salutor Lelek again - this means that the person with the Flaw is also around here.
2. Use perception to search the bar. You'll find the following observations: Shashka, Lost Letter, Pistol and Balalaika. You will unlock the conclusion Sower of Chaos.

1. You need to talk to Timur and Selim again - they are sitting at a table by a wall. The acquired traces will unlock all dialogue options. Touch upon Danis too. You will unlock the following observations: Russian Roulette, Attachment and Broken Heart as well as the conclusion The Different Faces of Love.
2. The person with the Flaw is Danis - he is sitting at one of the tables near the bar exit and is playing with a knife (see the image above). Choose all available dialogue options.
3. Upyr will appear next to Danis - interact to watch the cutscene.

Confronting Danis

1. Talk to Danis again and choose the option to provoke him into playing russian roulette (see the image above).
2. You can play with your own revolver or the weapon that Abaurycy will offer - it doesn't matter, because no one will die prematurely. When only one bullet is left, Salutor Lelek will appear. This boss fight is described in more detail in the chapter Bosses.

1. After winning the fight, you will unlock the Recklessness flaw. Lelek will join you too. There are several different dialogue options available during the final conversation with Danis. You can choose, for example, one of the answers related to Dimensions (each Dimension has a minimum required number of points).
2. At the end of the quest, you can get drunk with Abaurycy or refuse to do it - this will only affect Ligia's reaction when Wiktor returns to the Szulski Family Tenement House. If you ask Ligia to settle your debt, you will receive a checkbook from her.
