When exploring cities and dungeons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you can come across locked safes and containers. In this guide, we explain how to obtain Safe Keys to open locked containers and whether opening them is profitable.
How to obtain Safe Keys?
- You can obtain keys to open safes by purchasing them in pawnshops or in all stores with Pawn in the name. You'll find at least 1 pawnshop on each of the 3 main maps. 1 key costs 100 dollars or 10,000 yen.
- Keys can also appear on the list of items to buy in dungeons. You'll encounter an NPC who serves as a merchant at the entrance of each dungeon. You can exchange points earned from exploring dungeons for rewards, which may also include Safe Keys. In the example from picture 1, a key costs 1000 points.
- You can also automatically acquire keys as prizes for winning specific fights. They should appear on the list after each mini-boss or full-fledged boss fight you win or other crucial confrontations related to the main story.
Safes and locked containers
- Safes can be found during free exploration as well as in dungeons and story missions. You need to have the key with you right away for these last two types of locations, as you won't be able to return to the same place later. There's a risk of missing the opportunity to open the container. That's why, it's always worth having at least a few keys with you.
- A single safe may need 1 or 3 Safe Keys for opening. It's always a good idea to use 3 keys because it increases your chances of obtaining high-quality loot. If it's a typical map exploration, you can also save the game before breaking into the safe and reload the previous state if you find bad loot.
- Warning! Safes and dungeon chests may contain an elite enemy inside. The game then forces you to fight him. We suggest taking a risk unless you have a very weakened team when you reach the safe and don't want to start a potential fight with the mini-boss.
