Kiryu's appearance and status in Infinite Wealth

1. Kazuma Kiryu is one of the two main characters appearing in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. During the initial stages of the campaign, you'll only be tracking Ichiban's fate. Kiryu will show up in the main storyline shortly after arriving in Hawaii and will rescue Kasuga from trouble. From now on, the main characters will begin to work closely with each other.

1. At the end of chapter 3, you learn that Kiryu is suffering from cancer and his health is in a critical state. The doctors who diagnosed his disease gave him no more than 6 months to live.

1. Kiryu remains a playable character until the final boss fight. After defeating the final boss, the exhausted protagonist loses consciousness and ends up in the hospital.
2. From the final post-credits scene, players can learn that Kiryu is still alive. The main character refused to combat cancer before the events of Infinite Wealth and during the main scenes of the game. His attitude eventually changes and Kiryu decides to undergo treatment in a hospital. Haruka also arrives with her son Haruto, but finds the hospital room empty. In Infinite Wealth, there's no direct meeting between these two characters.
3. The final ending of Kiryu's story remains a mystery, and the developers can continue it in various ways - Kiryu may lose the fight against cancer despite his best efforts, extend his life by several more years, or lead to a situation in which cancer goes into remission.
