In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you can use the crafting mechanic by visiting Julie's Gearworks, thanks to which you will obtain or upgrade the best weapons. This guide page informs when you unlock Julie's Gearworks, what are the requirements for crafting, and what you can get by investing in Julie's Gearworks.
Unlocking workshops
- Access to the workshops will be unlocked right after starting chapter 4 - while playing as Kasuga in Honolulu. You will meet the bartender from Revolve Bar , who will direct you to Julie's Gearworks in the Waikiki district. You will meet the titular Julie there and do Substory #20 - A Better Bat, which is a short tutorial on the basics of crafting.
- There are 2 other Julie's Geaworks in the game world - in the Anaconda Shopping Center in western Honolulu and in southern Yokohama on Central St (available to Kiryu's party). All workshops offer the same options and in each of them you will meet Julie. Additionally, the current development level of Julie's Gearworks is kept even after changing the city.
How to create a new weapon?
- New weapons are created in the Craft Weapon tab. To create a new, better weapon, you must have a weaker weapon that will serve as a base. The game informs you about what weapon is needed and you can look for it in equipment stores or wait until it drops as loot.
- You also need money and crafting materials. The rarer the weapon, the rarer the materials needed. In the example from our picture, Shark Fin is a very rare material that can be obtained, e.g. in the Hawaiian Haunt dungeon. We advise you to save the ingredients for much better weapons than the ones you already have. You can often find slightly better weapons "for free" in the game world.
How to upgrade weapons?
- The Weapon Upgrades and Brands tab is used to strengthen and modify your weapons. Focus on further improving the best weapons that will be able to serve a given hero even longer.
- There are 2 options available. Strengthen Weapon allows you to strengthen your weapon up to level 50 (it will reach status 50). You need crafting materials for this - the better ones you use, the faster the next levels are reached.
- Brand lets you unlock slots for additional weapon properties. You will gain access to them after the weapon reaches levels 10, 30, and 50. Try to choose properties related to the specificity of the weapon. For example, if the weapon allows you to deal electric damage, choose a modifier that will increase the chances of it occurring.
- Alternatively, you can also dismantle unnecessary weapons in Material Exchange. In our opinion, this is not very profitable, because a single weapon usually gives you common components and in small quantities. A better idea is to use these weapons to create something stronger in Craft Weapon, or to sell them.
Investing in the workshop
- Investing in Julie's Gearworks allows you to advance your workshop to the next levels - the maximum being level 4.
- The game takes into account all expenses in the workshop, including those for purchasing new weapons and paying for their upgrades. You can also speed up this process - select the Investment tab and simply give Julie the missing amount of cash to level up.
- The main motivation for developing the workshop is to unlock the best weapons that you can craft. Eventually, even 7-star weapons will become available and you will also unlock the Investing in the Future trophy.
