Unlocking the quest
To be able to complete this quest, you need to complete Professor Sharp's Assignment I, as during it you receive the Depulso spell, which you'll use a few times during this quest - you can find the walkthrough for it on a dedicated page of the guide.
Moreover, your hero needs to be at least level 12.

Speak to Sirona in the Three Broomsticks
You can find The Three Broomsticks pub in Hogsmeade, and you may recall it from the first visit to the village. Enter it and find Sirona.
Next stop is Hog's Head Inn in western Hogsmeade. This time, you need to talk to Lodgok (a goblin).
Meet Lodgok near the witch's tomb
The Lodgok will be waiting for you at the western exit from Hogsmeade. The duo will travel to the tomb's entrance. Confirm readiness to explore the tomb and enter Collector's Cave.
Search the tomb for the helmet
The tomb is a larger dungeon . Our guide focuses on all mandatory puzzles appearing in the cave, but there is some exploring to be done here (optional rooms and loot and ingredient containers).
You should reach the first locked gate soon - this and further similar gates can only be opened when you deliver 3 moths to them.
To catch moths, you'll need Lumos - set is as active (quick spell menu). Once ready, go left and activate the spell near the moth (screenshot).
Bring the moth back to the gate. Once at the gate, deactivate Lumos and the moth will attach to the door. The gate is now open (as there was already 2 moths at the gate before you intervened).
The main path will lead you to another locked gate. There are 2 moths in the room with the gate - use Lumos on each and lead to the locked gate.
Have Depulso at the ready (in one of the active slots). Use Depulso on the right pathway (screenshot above) and it will be unlocked.
The new room is where you find the final, third, moth. Repeat the previous steps - activate Lumos and deliver the moth to the gate. The door is now unlocked.
In the catacomb-like room you will encounter Inferi monsters for the first time . To defeat them easily, you need to destroy their resistance using any red spell, e.g. Incendio or Confringo. Only then you can successfully damage the creature with other attacks.
Once the area is clear, continue forward, and you'll reach the third locked gate.
Once again use Lumos to catch the moth, but this time bring it to the central mechanism (screenshot above).
The central mechanism, when used, can raise a nearby stone block. Climb onto the block and use Depulso until you reach the upper level.
There is a moth here - use Lumos, jump down and deliver it to the gate.
Bring the remaining moths to the gate (the one from the central mechanism and the one from the same room). The third gate is now unlocked.
The next room has some hanging cargo. Fire a ranged attack aimed at the hitch to drop the cargo. Jump in to the hole in the floor and you'll land in water.
The path forward will lead you to a new hall with the fourth moth gate (on the first floor).
Before you can proceed to solve the puzzle, you need to defeat a larger group of Inferi monsters. Remember to use red spells and dodge often.
Once the area is clear, use Lumos to catch the first moth and deliver it to an inactive side area from the screenshot (it is on the left, a little lower than the gate). Deactivate Lumos so moth sticks to the station.
Find and use Lumos to catch the second moth from the room and deliver it to the central mechanism.
Stand on the moving platform and use the Depulso to reach the top .
Upstairs you will find 2 moths . Grab them both with Lumos and deliver to the locked gate.
Place your hero close to the gate and once again use Depulso on the rotating mechanism (the one below). This will raise the side station with the attached moth (the one you've delivered earlier to this area). Catch this moth with Lumos and unlock the final gate (the moth from the central mechanism doesn't have to be led to the gate).
There is a corpse in the next room - search it to find the Signet Ring.
Return to Lodgok
You don't have to backtrack all the way to the entrance, as there is an exit in the same location you currently are. After returning to the entrance, talk to Lodgok.
Recover the helmet from the thieves
Head west towards the enemy encampment. After reaching your destination, you'll see a scene of a group of dark wizards fighting a troll. You can use the commotion to your advantage and attack enemies engaged in the battle with the beast. When it comes to the troll, focus on dodging so you avoid his melee attacks. Make sure to clear the area of all enemies.
Search the area marked in purple on your minimap - the helmet is in a chest in the large tent.
Once you pick up the helmet, more dark wizards will appear - defeat them and return to Lodgok to conclude the quest.
